Tip 1. The hotel had various activities including motocross and others. I and my girlfriend went to ride the motocross and it was a fabulous experience. Very cool.

Tip 1. Food at the Westin Grand Bahama hotel itself is ok. Breakfast buffet is great if you are looking for a lot of food. I would recommend going across the street to Port Lucaya for most meals to save some cash. There are a few higher end places to eat that will give you a better meal than some of the hotel food. The food on the resort is kind of expensive. Also, they do not accept cash in most places so you are forced to either charge to the room or use a credit card
Tip 2. Buses to town are inexpensive frequently boarding by the police station near the hotel. Nice local restaurants: Becky’s (try the guava duff for dessert) and Geneva’s. Had excellent dinner at the hotel Restaurant Iries and Sabor across the street - sunset view was beautiful.

Tip 1. I would definitely recommend Stuart Coves for snorkelling, SUBS, scuba diving and anything else they offer. They are very professional and not too expensive. Dolphin encounters on Blue Lagoon is also a good choice.
Tip 2. Book a nicer all-inclusive, and you wont have any reason to leave the resort. There are quite a few gorgeous hotels near this one that are better worth their price.
Tip 3. If you have the opportunity while staying at Breezes Bahamas All Inclusive Resort, have dinner at Twin Brothers Seafood and Steakhouse located at The Fish Fry. Very Bahamian feel, fresh seafood, amazing experience.

Frank E. stayed at Hamilton Princess in August 2007:
The hotel is located within walking distance of the city of Hamilton. Front Street is just a few minutes walk and is the area with restaurants, pubs, shops, etc., as well as where cruise ships come in. Our room faced a beautiful putting green and the harbor entrance filled with sail boats with an occasional cruise ship going by.
This is a four star hotel so I expected top service and for the most part got it. That said, one had to join the “President’s Club” by filling out a form just to get free internet. I had expected free internet immediately without having to do anything since it is often available at inexpensive MOTELS here in the U.S.A. The restaurant was fine though very expensive; a breakfast buffet cost about twenty eight dollars including a tip. I must say though, you won’t be hungry after breakfast! Expect quite extensive buffet and overall great service.

Beautiful and luxurious
We arrived in the evening and were generously upgraded to a suite, although we had already paid for a deluxe ocean view. The suite was very spacious and nice, but the refridgerator did not work and since there was no grocery store nearby, our only options were to eat at the hotel restaurants. Housekeeping brought us a replacement fridge when requested. The food was very good, but expensive. $9.00 for a hotdog and fries by the pool!! 12.00 for a cheeseburger! $8.00 for a drink from the bar! I suggest taking a walk across the street to the Lucaya Market Plaza and eating at one of their many local restaurants to save money and see more.
The pool was very large with a fancy, negative-edge design overlooking the beach. The landscaping was perfect, meticulous, colorful flowers everywhere and very tropical looking. It was all very beautiful. I wish the shops stayed open later. In the hotel they closed at 6 pm or whenever they wanted if it was slow. Even the basic gift shop. Gotta get a spot by the pool early on the weekend or all the best chairs are taken or reserved already. Overall the service was great and we enjoyed our stay. The waiters and bartenders were very friendly, open and ready to help, but don’t be in a hurry, they know we’re all on vacation and move accordingly! Will definitely go back sometime!
Traveler’s tip:
Do not eat at the Westin, a little inconvenient but if you are staying for 5 days, should bring snacks for the room and eat at the local restaurants in the market area across the street. Also, beer is surprisingly expensive. Buy liquor instead or mixed drinks if you purchase alcoholic beverages. Cannot bring alcohol into the country! Although we didn’t have any, that was a surprise to us.
