Great Place - Terrible Food

We stayed in the Royal Suites which has a private pool/beach area just for suites guests which was beautiful. The Hotel side was nice as well. The rooms were old but well maintained, the food however was terrible. The Buffet and the restaurants all had the same cafeteria quality food, the Asia restaurant was really bad. But if you're not interested in great food it's a nice place.

The hotel seems a lot better in the pictures. It is old and the night shows are really bad. The food is ok and the Royal area is a little better than therest part of the hotel. The beach is awful!!! full of lage rocks that make the entrance extremely difficult and dangerous. There are much better options in Nuevo Vallarta at the same price.

Great place to relax

We were surprised by the hotel service. Everybody was really friendly and made every attempt to make us feel comfortable. This is the VIP section of the Palladium Hotel. We didn't really hang out at the rest of the resort because the VIP section was the best. The food at the restaurant in the VIP section was really good, we were not impressed by the other restaurants. The drinks tend to be a bit watered down but if you know what you want ask for that specifically and don't forget to tip. The only thing is that the hotel is about 45 minute taxi ride from Puerto Vallarta airport, but I guess if your ultimate goal is to relax this is a good hotel to do that.

Traveler's tip:

The day you get there speak with the front desk to see what kind of activities you would like to do. You have to make reservations to do certain activities outside of the resort. Try to plan everything out when you get there so you can get the best out of it.

Makes You Feel Like Royalty All the Way

The Royal Suites was amazing! my husband and I went there on our honeymoon and we couldn't have picked a better spot. It was kind of out in the middle of nowhere. About 45 minutes from the PV airport. From the time we arrived at the Royal Suites entrance we were treated like royalty. They pick up our bags and got us into the room that we were satisfied with. Any issues we had (like the mini fridge not having beer in it and our room not having the layout we wanted) were dealt with immediately and they did not make us feel bad for asking for things. the maid turned down our bed while we were at dinner nightly and the room was always clean and well stocked with towels, beer, water and soda. The things you should not miss: -the nightly shows -the room service -the welcome drink at Portifino -the Royal suites restaurant.(Great view, amazing staff, spectacular food) -the Zoo (my husband made friends with the parrots there) Some negative stuff: -Kind of smelly by the zoo -Disco was hit or miss (they kick the kids out at midnight so go after then) -gift shop is very pricey so bring your own sunblock and smokes -exchange rate is not good at the hotel so do any currency exchange at the airport or the bank before you go. Great service, Great food, Great People. if you are looking to unwind and relax this is the place for you.

Traveler's tip:

Bring 100 one dollar bills and TIP! I can not stress this enough. Even before our drink were done they brought us more. I am sure the service was great without it but we just felt better tipping people for their excellent work RUN PAST THE TIMESHARE PEOPLE AT THE AIRPORT. They will try to trick you and offer you free things but do not believe them. go all the way outside and there will be big signs over the booth that you need to go to saying TAXI.

Me and my wife stayed at the palladium for over a week and were extremely satisfied with our vacation. Great service, beautiful location away from downtown P.V.. I would recomend this place to anyone.

Traveler's tip:

Rent a car at the airport, you will spend less renting than paying for taxi's to and from the hotel. We spent about $130 on taxi's a car would have cost under $100 for a week.

Adult Only Area is Well Worth It

Great stay at my first all inclusive. Punta mita is a little ways from downtown, but the hotel was great with a bunch of different restaurant options. The adults only area is well worth it with its own restaurant, pool and beach area, but you can still access the other areas of the resort. Good food, good recreational options, and the bus to downtown runs right outside the hotel area. Well worth it.

Traveler's tip:

Bring plenty of singles to tip the helpful staff of the hotel.

This was a fantastic place to stay. It was great to have a private restaurant and pool and beach area all to yourself. I went to the rest of the resort one night to eat and after having to deal with all the other people chose to stay at the adults only portion the rest of the time. The staff was fantastic and very patient.

The suites suited my wife and two college kids (!) just fine. Great accommodations and service, including an exclusive restaurant with very good food and an infinity pool. Gorgeous scenery and a very relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of activities at the Palladium next door, including beach soccer, volleyball and free surf boards and lessons. 20 minutes from 3 championship public golf courses. We recommend it to our friends.

it was nice, big rooms. we had a room by the discoteca though and it was pretty loud all night. that would be the only downfall we had encountered about the resort- make sure to bring a pair of long pants if you want to eat at the resort though because some of the restaraunts require it

The beds were a little hard but other than that the staff was awesome, the rooms were great and we can't wait to go back next year!!!

Traveler's tip:

Transfer your dollars to pesos before you leave home. And don't forget to tip the staff they work really hard.

Advantages: Good service, Super beautiful nature surraunding the facilities, nice zoo with Cocodriles, snakes, monkeys, etc, Dinner in front of the ocean with very romantic atmosphere. Disadvantages: Partial view to the sea in all the suites (just master suites have ocean view but this rooms are NOT available in expedia), The wine is just TERRIBLE, bad quality juices in the morning, movement sensor failing in many rooms

Traveler's tip:

If you go to this resort stay in the Suites and NOT in the hotel. The experience will be much better
