Highly recommend, but stay on the club floor or it gets very expensive. Theres a beautiful spa, pool, beach and casino. There are to great restaurants, very pricey but you can walk down the street or take a cab to Old San Jaun and find some great places.

If you need a short holiday away from home this may be what you are looking for. The hotel is only 5 min from airport and 15 min to Old San Juan. It is also walking distance to fellow 4 star hotel The San Juan Hotel and casino that has recently went under a major renovation and has a few nice restaurants. It is one of the few hotels in San Juan that has a nice beach front property and a beautiful pool setting. Next time we visit Puerto Rico we will most likely stay at the Ritz.

We have to wait 1 hour to check-in, got into the room after 5 pm... The room is small and they did not stuff (amenities etc) for two guests. I thought Ritz was one of the best hotels but I have to change it.

I couldn't be happier with our experience at the Ritz-Carlton - from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every single staff member we encountered was warm and very accomodating! The room was spacious, the bed so comfy I (even as a pregnant woman) almost didn't want to leave it. The pool area and beach are perfection. A special thanks to Cesar in Loss Prevention - I left my journal in the room after checking out and he found it, contacted me at the airport and is sending it to me. A wonderful experience!

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in San Juan for only 4 days, but it was a great vacation. There is a pool, spa, casino and beach. What more do you need in a vacation? We only left the hotel twice - once to go shopping and once to go to bar hopping.

The San Juan Ritz is an amazing place to stay. Everyone on the staff knows exactly how to make you feel relaxed. Their overall service cannot be matched. The facility is immaculate, the beach and pool area are very relaxing. We have stayed here twice in the last year and will certainly return again.

we had a great time even tho it rained for the entire stay. the staff was so accomodating and pleasant. they couldnt do enough for all the guests...rain or shine. the rooms were very clean and we always saw staff cleaning...from scrubbing elevators to touch up painting. we plan to go back and found most of the guest were repeat customers.

Great stay, awesome location, staff and service was fantastic. Food is expensive at the hotel, but so good we ate there a lot. The BLT steak house is a fantastic dining experience. 5 stars!

This hotel is excellent in every way. The rooms are comfortable,clean and the staff is always at your service. The location is good - not too far to taxi to Old San Juan. The beach and pool area are always kept clean; the food in the restaurant is good; equpment in the fitness room will give you a good workout - then a massage at the Spa is a must! I shall return!!

We arrived on Wed and was greeted by ground transportation. She was very polite and courteous; the ride fromt he airport to the hotel was 5 mins in lilght traffic. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the most professional and polite staff. We were never givena chance to lift a finger; they met us at the van, opened the doors and whisked away all of our belongings. Check-in was really dty free; the staff was the greatest but I was most impressed with our assigned concierge "Brandon". He gave us a quick tour of the hotel explaining everything from how to work the remote to making reservations at any restaurant in San Juan. When first entering the room you notice the attention to detail and the many comforts you have at your expense. The bed was extremely comfortable and always felt as if it just grabbed a hold of you everytime you laid down. The room was very spacious and open. The cleaning staff was great also we never came in and the bed wasnt made nor the room tidied up. This was our best vacation yet and we owe it all to the Ritz-Carlton San Juan.

The pool and the beach where outstanding both in cleaniness and offerings. The Restaurants are pricy but everything else was excellent!!

If it had not been for the incredible restaurants' food and staff and the boutique staff in the hotel, we probably would have checked out early and left. Our room was not ready when we arrived to check-in, we wandered around for over two hours and had to go back up to the front desk to find the room still was not ready, we were finally checked-in at 5 pm, we ordered champagne upon arrival that we never received, we were asked a second time for our credit card because the staff did not communicate to each other, they checked us out after only one night though our confirmation was for four nights, security entered our room without identifying himself, the front desk requested that I provide proof of my stay by providing them a copy of my confimation, they told me to come down to the front desk though it was their mistake, the concierge booked our reservation at an in-house restaurant for an evening that the restaurant was not even open, the concierge offered $100 credit for the inconvenience that was not on our final bill, our room was not cleaned on day two of our stay, an undisclosed 20% surcharge was added to our massage service, at check-out we saw quests escorted to their room (at Noon!)while we were only given directions to the elevator when we finally got our room, the front desk management offered many excuses but never made things right & offered us no apology or compensation for their terrible service. We felt taken advantage of and offended.

The "Ritz" says it all. A beautiful resort. The pool was great, but could have had a deeper end. Being right on the ocean was handy. The casino was fun. The food/drink prices are a little high. We felt very safe staying at this resort. The rooms are nice sized and you didn't feel cramped. I'd recommend staying here.

This hotel and staff exceeded all ecpectations. Club level is very nice, if possible. Casin was fun. Each day/night offered latin music and dancers for entertainment. Restaurants were a little pricey but great food. A short cab ride to Old San Juan is good for shopping and sites - find a local restaurant for good food. The beach and pool were relaxing and comfortable - overall, a wonderful trip. We will return to see Vieques and Culebra.

This must be the low end of the Ritz Carlton line, the hotel is quite small and old compare to other Ritz Carlton hotel. The staff is extremely helpful. Hotel service is great and the food is excellent.

I think I had high expectations based on the "Ritz Carlton" name alone. I expected to walk in and have my mouth drop open. Not the case. It was just another hotel. I always affiliated the Ritz Carlton as the upper echelon when it comes to hotels. It was just okay. Nothing fancy about. The hotel restaurants were excellent and the hotel staff was friendly. The pool was nice. The property was well-maintained, but I thought the decor could use a redesign.

The hotel was a little loud for "off season" but that is my only possible complaint. We could hear parties going on and talking from the room next door late at night. Be prepared for dinner to take a long time and don't do the hotel's seafood buffet (waste of money). The breakfasts are great and you can order from the menu too and get exactly what you want. The pool is great and they have a lot of umbrellas and floats. The beach is nice too. The staff are always friendly/helpful and the casino isn't busy during the day. The spa was relaxing and so clean! The massages are a great way to start out your vacation.

Would definitely recommend this place; pool and beach are just a great getaway. Hotel personnel were absolutely great; but be prepared to tip everyone. It was expensive but worth the escape. Its not often my family and I can get away so it was definitely a treat.
