The hotel was wonderful. The first room they put us in did not have a beach view like we paid for so we asked to be moved and the had us moved within an hour to a much bigger room with a awesome view. Chips and salsa at the resort are to die for!!! Turks and Caicos is gorgeous. Not a lot of nightlife which is what we wanted. Take a horseback ride on the beach with Provo Ponies!!!

Traveler's tip:

Do not get the steak or hamburger anywhere on the island. Not good!

The hotel is conveniently located right on Grace Bay with one of the best beaches we have been on. The hotel staff go above and beyond to ensure every customer is completely satisfied. We plan to go back to The Alexandra every time we visit Provo.

Traveler's tip:

We were able to save on breakfast and lunch by grocery shopping and eating those meals in our hotel. We also saved by choosing restaurants that had buffet style dinners.

The ocean front room had a great view. The rooms, pool, restaurant need remodeling. The pool does not have view of ocean. The restaurant blocks views of the ocean. The people are very nice. Next door is the palms. It is worth the extra money to stay at the palms.

Good location, room for improvement

Nicely situated on Grace Bay, walking distance to most restaurants and shops (Salt Mills etc.), okay rooms and nice pool area. Generally for the TCI's, the service level is unfortunately not up to par. Very happy with room cleaning, and general tidiness on the resort, but service is poor. One notable exception is the Rick the barkeeper, he's great.

Traveler's tip:

Go snorkeling right off the beach on Bigh Reef, but not at the marked off area where they try to showcase a reef. There's an unmarked out by the white buoys that attracts much more wildlife (turtles, stingrays, baracudas, nurse sharks plus the usual crowd).

Quiet & Relaxing!

This get away trip to T&C turned out to be so romantic and perfect that my boyfriend proposed and we got married on the beach right before we left!! The hotel was quiet even though there was construction ~ it is all inside work being done now. There was hardly anyone at the pool since the ocean in front is so warm and calm. The staff was so nice and helpful ~ they helped put together the wedding and even picked flowers for my bouqet and sent us wine! There is a boat tour that leaves right infront of the hotel and they were so nice and helped my husband with the proposal on the deserted island. We also dove for Conch and brought home two. Sand is so soft and perfect. The ocean view of our room was unobstructed and was so nice to view as we ate on the terrace. Getting around the island was easy in our jeep. US currency was great to use. Everyone was really friendly and spoke great English. Great food everywhere and snorkelling was great!!We worked out in the air cond workout room every day and layed on the beach. The hotel next door was nice but we heard from people staying there how expensive it was and there were alot of people staying there. Ours was nice and quiet with not alot of people. We are definitely coming back next year for our anniversary!!

Traveler's tip:

The portions everywhere are so big that we would share a salad and meal cutting our bill in half! Magnolia at the Marina has a beautiful view high up and was very romantic! We bought groceries at the IGA and made breakfast and lunch everyday. Having a kitchen is a must!

room interior, furnishing, furniture just ordinary--insists on having oceanview(if requested) from the upper floors or you will end up on ground floor facing a sand bar with some landscaping and will just have to imagine of ocean just beyond the sand bar-- oceanview from upper floors and view of the beach at Grace Bay is terrific including sunsets !

We loved the location, oceanfront suite. Beautiful furniture, granite countertops, etc. Was nice having kitchen, we bought groceries and fixed breakfast and lunch most days. Ate out dinner. We only ate one breakfast meal at the hotel on our last morning there and it was very good. Can't vouch for lunch or dinners there.

Would recommend renting a car, especially if you have older children. Not much to do so it is nice to get out and see the sites. Snorkling down in front of Windsong condos costs 5$/person for 1 hour. Great snorkling. Ate at Hemingways, skip Bay Bistro. Check out all restaurants at Turtle Cove. Did snorkle tour/conch dive/uninhabited island tour. Would do again.Have to see Chalk Sound, skip Long Bay Beach!

But, be aware of the construction that is going on right on site. This hotel is not top of the line like some other ones in the area, but it's very nice nevertheless. Go here if you can get a good deal price-wise and are not too bothered by construction noise. The beach is very, very, very nice - nicer than Turks and Caico's Club or Le Vele's!

This is not a condo Resort; it is a condo. There are better values to be found ~ the room was dirty upon arrival, the sleeper sofa was barely big enough for a 13 year old, there were no linens for the sleeper bed (we had to call twice to get them), there was a plumbing problem in the half bath and it smelled like sewer the entire time, the reception desk was of no help and not willing to help us w/ scheduling activities, for the most part the service staff was very indifferent/rude and very slow. There is construction taking place on all three side of the "Resort" and we listed to noise from 7 am to 6 pm. There are several other places to stay that are worth the cost. Grace Bay Beach is truely one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The ocean, sand, fish are amazing.

Traveler's tip:

The Tiki Hut and Bay Bistro have good food at a good price. Make sure you have reservations.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel is walking distance on the beach to several excellent restaurants and snorkeling sight. Staff very friendly and helpful. Oceanfront is awesome - nice balconies with view to beach.

The food in Provo is great - did not have a bad meal. Hemingways and Bay Bistro are very good - also several good restaurants at the marina.

A great place for families. The suites are spacious, clean and offer all the amenities you need. BUT....There is a lot of construction still going on. If you spend the day at the beach it's not a problem, but the pool is quite noisy. Also...there is no Spa yet and no shop on site for sundry items, newpapers, etc. There is an IGA nearby which is impressively stocked with grocery items. A great island. This will be an even better place to stay once it's complete.

This hotel is beautiful. Rooms are great. Orchid Restaurant is great. But, construction of resorts on each side takes place from early morning to late at night, 7 days a week. Not the most relaxing thing when you're on the beach or great pool. Go here if you want a place with nothing to do but relax with your books and make your meals/go out to eat.

Traveler's tip:

conch farm was neat. one hour experience. $16 buck cab ride each way. $6 enterance fee. Very interesting-the only conch farm in the world
