The beach was great and thats about where it ends! There was no shade on the beach. The Rooms were no better then a motel 6 and the service at the restaurant was VERY poor.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at S Palms. I knew when booking the room would not be in the luxury category, but I chose SP for its location. The beach is great, it is very convenient to bars and restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel is quite good and has reasonable prices. Everyone was courteous and very helpful. I would definately stay here again.
Traveler's tip:
Pisces restaurant is very good. If you are out late at night the food vendor on the side of the beach side of the street has very good fish and macaroni salad.

The hotel was great and the room was clean. The atmosphere was relaxing. We would stay here again. Great rum punch!!! The hotel also had local entertainment 3-4 times per week. They also have a Sunday brunch that is great.
Traveler's tip:
We walked to "The Gap" every night for dinner. There is an Irish bar across the street that provided local entertainment 3-4 time per week.

This is an older well maintained property with excellent ground maintenance; old world charm, fantastic beach, English tea in the afternoons, pleasant staff. A place to relax and reflect with the option of fine dining, shopping and intertainment all within walking distance in St. Lawrence Gap.
Traveler's tip:
Southern Palms is located in St. Lawrence Gap, a St. Lawrence Gap is a wonderful place to walk. The Gap is shaped like a "U" so you can't get lost. It is filled with excellent restaturants of all price ranges, local craftsman, varied entertainment and vibrant night life. A must do!!

The hotel is located right next to a beautiful beach - white sand, waving palms, crystal blue water. The surf was a little rough, but calmed a bit the further you went out. We saw dozens of sea turtles in the waves - it was lovely. The hotel is a little old, but very clean, and the staff was always friendly (if a little slow - but that may just be the easy going Bajan way of life). This hotel, unlike others in the vicinity, is nicely spread out along the beach, so each group can have their own stretch of sand and ocean all to themselves. I would definitely return.
Traveler's tip:
Try Joseph's. It's a little pricey, but worth it - the food and service were excellent. Call ahead to reserve a table next to the ocean. They have a wood deck that slightly overhangs the sea - at night it looks like you're floating above the glowing aquamarine water and you can feel the waves hit the coral rock below the deck.

Very nice place to stay, the beach is gorgeous, and the staff is extremely friendly and warm. The rooms are in good condition, with great views. The bathroom is a bit small, however not inconvenient by any means. The surroundung area is wonderful, with many great restaurants.
