excellent. excellent. i stayed there for a week and can't think of one thing to complain about. a very pleasant experience, and i am very picky.

we were made to wait in the patio outside reception. after 14 hours of traveling the man at the desk came out (very unfriendly/unwelcoming) to give us a registration form. restaurant service at the hotel was pretty much the same. overall i would not recommend. i did like the room but the "private beach" has lot of garbage and feels slighty unsafe.

The hotel was terrific. We weren't sure what to expect but were pleasently surprised. It is isolated so if you are looking for a fast pace and close to everything venue , this isn't it. Very europeon and the kite surfers were great to watch.

great location to get away from the bustle of town. But a bit far away so taxi will cost you more. Kite surfing in morning is great to watch while having breakfast. Internet is not reliable, wireless is in rooms but on and off. Rooms are great, lots of space, clean, and having fridge and microwave is great. Very open breezy and light. All night security,

I was very pleasantly surprised. My husband and I booked a room in June 2009. The room was lovely. A king sized 4 poster bed with soft white bedding. Extremely comfortable. From our room we could see and hear the beautiful ocean and watch the kite surfers. Very romantic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were found immaculate when we returned each day from touring beautiful Barbados. We had a great time. Would definitely return again.

I had a wonderful experience at the Silver Point Hotel. I went with a family member and spent most of my time relaxing, which is what I was hoping for in my stay. As others mentioned, the hotel is a ways away from the main touristy areas, and thus we ate most of our meals at the hotel, and the food was great! The beach has wonderful cool white sand, and the ocean is beautiful and water warm. There were plenty of chaise lounges and beds to relax in by the beach. Overall, it was a wonderful stay!

Silver Point made my stay in barbados a total sucess. The hotel was always clean, staff was friendly and quiet helpfull.after exploring every square inch of barbados, i came back to a clean quaint room, with the sound of waves breaking on the beach. wow cant wait to do it again,

We got an amazing deal by booking a package online and WOW was it worth it! We were blown away by the Silver Point. It appears they are in the process of constructing even more units, but we never heard so much as a hammer or a drill the whole time we were there. We had a room with a "partial ocean view" and it was more than adequate. You could still see the ocean from the room and hear the waves. Everything was decorated in white and dark wood - very clean and beach appropriate. Apparently the beach in front of the hotel is a famous kite and wind surfer spot because every morning, there were tons of people out there. It looked amazing! The breakfast was good and the hotel was friendly and clean. I would definitely recommend renting a car if you are going to be there longer than a few days. Barbados is an extremely expensive place to visit because everything you do costs about twice what it does in the states. For transportation you can take the local bus, which is really very easy (the #11 to Silver Point), but then you are limited. You could take taxis, but then you are going to be spending a hundred bucks a day in transportation for two or three one way trips. Renting a car is the most economical way to do it, because then you can see the whole island! They do drive on the opposite side of the road. I think thats about it. Enjoy yourself!

This was my first trip to Barbados. Silver Point is a very cute hotel. There is no actual front desk or concierge. You check in at an office with 1 clerk working. It's not high-tech, no electronic key cards, you'll get an old fashion key. The hotel is located on a beach, but this beach has very strong currents, so it is really meant for surfing and wind-surfing. I wouldn't recommend for swimming. The swimming pool is pretty small for a hotel. The landscape of the beach is really gorgeous. There's a great outside bar and restaurant, and the boardwalk is lined with linen draped canopy day beds. The room was very nice and modern looking. There is a flat screen TV, a small fridge and an updated bathroom. My only 2 complaints are in regards to the very low water pressure in the shower and one night an iguana or little lizard ran thru our room. Other than that, it's a nice hotel for a short getaway. lt's definitely catered more to couples rather than families. I was only there for 3days/2 nights.

This hotel was very much worth its money! It is secluded but yet easy to obtain a taxi to go to dinners, bars, and other attractions. The room was small but had a mini fridge that we stocked from walking to Douglas's to buy beer & wine. The deck was peaceful to sunbath on and the daybeds were comfortable to nap in the afternoon. If your looking for busy and nitelife not a place to stay. This is a relaxing and chic hotel!! The bartenders were aewsome!!!

great place to stay if your trying to get away from it all.... quiet and peaceful!!! make sure you take food to feed the island dogs on the neighboring beach...they are precious!! staff was delightful!

I was only at the hotel for one night and the staff was nice and helpful. The room I was in was OK for one person, but for two people may be a bit small if staying for longer than a day or two. I guess you don't spend much time in your room, so perhaps that would be OK. The beach was spectacular.

This was a very good choice. Will definitely stay there on my next trip to Barbados. Definitely book rooms on the ocean else it won't be as much fun since no view. Service was good and meals were rather tasty. Actually there's a pretty good restaurnat on the property.

This is a very nice quiet place to stay. Virtually no kids were present. The suites were quite comfortable and had scenic views of the beautiful water.The staff was very helpful and security was good. The hotel is somewhat remote, so a rental car is needed to get around to points of interest and eating places. The restaurant/bar is pretty good too. They run nightly specials on food and drinks.

Oceanside, relaxed, clean, relaxed, safe, and ... relaxed. What a Barbados experience! Perfect location, almost a private beach. We had a fantastic time, would definitely stay again if ever back in Barbados. CONS: Not much nearby, you will eat often at the hotel - delicious food but a bit overpriced. PROS: Too many beyond what I mentioned above. Barbados is a happy island, well organized, clean, and extremely friendly. This hotel is no exception. Cabs always available if you want to go to Bridgetown (or elsewhere).

The hotel is a nice place and tries very hard to look like a Miami-style hotel. However the getting to and getting out of isn't scenic at all. There is no good local exploring to be done. The hotel is very spread out long ways away from the beach, and 'partial ocean view' is truly partial. If you like hanging by the pool and going wind surfing this is a fine place. For wind surfing this may be the best in Barbados. If you want tourist activities and a white beach, I suggest elsewhere.
