we have stayed at this hotel three times now and have never had a problem, I would suggest going across the street to the marina to eat, the restaurants at the hotel are expensive and not all that good.

This hotel was better than I expected, exceeded my expectations. Totally worth the price. The food in the hotel was a little pricey, but it was good and the restaurants were really nice. There was a marketplace across the street which had cheap eats and great shops for souvenirs. The service was great from check in to check out. The pools were great, beach fantastic. I can't wait to go back. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

-Very professional and friendly staff, ready to answer any questions and to help you enjoy your stay. -Very clean and very well maintained. -Numerous places to eat, from snacks/fast food to nice dining -Pool was not in service it was having maintenenace performed on it but adjacent pool was available for use and very nice. -Beach area was nice and kept clean -Golf courses close by, easy to get to and very good condition. -Only negative thing was no microwave in the room. -Enjoyed the location and really enjoyed the vacation. -September and October are slow months in the Freeport, good time to go and realx!

At first, I wasn't sure about the hotel because of some bad reviews I saw. So I not to expect too much of this place. I'm glad I cchose this place. I love it! And yes, the other hotel is a nicer place but I've been going around that area and everyday I pass by there, pool is always close. That's why there's always alot of people in Sheraton pool because people from there go to Sheraton for the pool. I prefer Sheraton's swimming pool in my own opinion. More space to swim than the other. Pool is too tight. I would definitely go back to this place. And about the food, it is kinda pricey to go to the restaurants on or around the hotel but, sometimes it's nice to have some dinner right outside your room =) without going outside the street...Regarding 15% gratuity. Didn't really bother me because we didn't have any complaints for most of the place we went to...Prop Club - I love this place. Really good service. Order Strawberry Daiquiri mix together with Pina Colada is my favorite frozen drink for this place. Good food, decent portion but pricey. Order the burger. It will fill you up really good. Nice to go there and eat and play pool once in awhile. I recommend this place.

Traveler's tip:

Though the room was clean, there were multiple problems with service. On demand moveies were not available during our 6 day stay (which we were not told at check in, tho the service had been out for some time), the room service food was almost inedible-the pasta overcooked and the hamburger undercooked, and tho the breakfast buffet was usually well-stocked, the coffee and juice took so long to come that we were done eating befoe we had anything to drink. This is the most disappointed I have been at a Sheraton

The best thing about this hotel is the location. The hotel is located next to the casino and the marketplace is accross the street. There are plenty of swimming pools and private beach for everyone.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was always helpful. The pool/grounds were well maintained. The skimmers at the pool was not not working at the Windom Resort and had bugs/trash Etc, floating on top. I did mention this at the towel stand and was told that someone else was in control of the pool. We had dinner at the Prop Club and was very disapointed with the food. My wife ordered a salad with chicken strips and I had the Grouper. The salad had lettuce, beans (which tasted like tobacco) and chicken stips with bar-be-que sauce. I had never seen a salad with bar-be-que sauce. The fish had a very bad taste (I think it was old), was dry and was served with the same beans. We could not eat this food, which was very pricey. Do not eat there. Le Med has very good food and was not over priced.

Five stars for this hotel and staff!!!

This was our second time staying at the Sheraton Our Lucaya and we had a great experience. The staff was accommodating, the room was comfortable and clean; the resort is family friendly and very safe. We would love to go back a third time.

Front Desk was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and kept up. Service and food in restaurant was poor.

We had a great stay here! I recommend taking your meals across the street in the Lucaya Market the prices are a third cheaper and the food is better than the one offered in casino. The pools are great, the views grand. I was not too impressed with the beach, but the water sports are fun and affordable.!

Beautiful hotel, pool maintained, great clean beach; convenient towel stand; slide for kids' nearby speedboats and parasailing. Highly recommend for relaxing family vacation - downside nothing really to do in the evenings with exception of dance club (Prop Club) which was hardly ever open and small nearby casino.

Zorba's at international marketplace has decent breakfast and Shenanigan's has authentic Irish and Scottish dishes (wait a long time, slow service) but definitely worthwhile.

When my husband and I arrived in Freeport on the Grand Bahama Island we were expecting sandy beaches and aqua water... our first hotel didn't quite make the grade, but upon changing hotels we were pleasantly surprised and our stay at the Sheraton Hotel at the shared "Our Lucaya" Sheraton-Westin Resort ended up being just about everything we hoped.

The hotel was wonderful. The only issue we had was how rude the female staff were compared to the male. Our luggage was lost and we asked the clerk at the front desk if it had arrived and she was completely rude and unwilling to help. On our way to catch a cab back to the airport, the bell hop offered to call the Sheraton office at the airport(who knew one existed as the clerk at the front desk never said a word about that). If there was a female security guard at the front desk she asked for ID, the males never did. I have been to the Bahamas many many times and there always seems to be an abrasive attitude from the women at the hotels. Over all the hotel was beautiful and met all of our needs. The locations you cannot beat for the price.

Go across the street to eat...Zorbas is a great value for all meals and the coffee is great! For a fun day go to Paradise cove...one of the best spots on the island with beautiful water, and a great staff.
