the pool is nice - but completely full. beach area is sad, you'd rather be one of the locals on the other side of the rope. the hotel could clean the sand in their area...but the smell from the bathrooms probably can't be fixed. the room was ok, bathroom nice.

Hotel is in excellent location if you're looking to party. The most popular clubs are about three blocks away. Bar on premises was pretty popular. Spa services are a joke. Spa Staff seemed inexperienced and not very attentive or customer service oriented. Housekeeping was great.

This hotel is no longer called Los Sabalos Resort, it is now Ramada, but who cares it was fabulos and right on the beach, and the price we received through Expedia it was a steallllll!!!!! Beautiful hotel with very good security/privacy. My wife and I were very impressed.

Traveler's tip:

Take advantage of the surrounding attractions. The exchange rate now is not to be missed. US vs MX is excellent..

This hotel had awesome service an was in the perfect location within Mazatlan's Golden Zone. The staff was friendly, mostly bilingual, and available at moments notice. In terms of the room, it was clean and modern.

Traveler's tip:

Be advised, that the most popular beach-side bar, "Joe's Oyster Bar" is located on the property. Hotel guests can enter the bar with no cover.

Los Sabalos was very clean and the staff was friendly overall, however we did have a couple of problems with the room. First we could not get the safety deposit box to open and after about an hour someone came up and fixed the problem. Then the next day the chain in our toilet broke and even though we called the front desk numerous times no one ever came to fix it. We did however manage to fix it ourselves so it wasn't a big problem. We also didn't get any towels one day until almost 6 pm. which was a little inconvienent, but after numerous calls we did finally get some towels. Overall though the beach was excellent and the proximity to restaurants and shopping was great. We would probably stay there again if we go back to Mazatlan.

I really enjoy this hotel which has plenty of security. If I have any problems with the room the maid is there to assist. (extra towels or blankets....etc) The food is good and you are close to restarants, pharmacy, or just about anything you would need. I will stay there again in february.

If you decide to leave your hotel leave your valuables in the room safe. Always ask the taxi driver how much to your location before you enter his car. Otherwise he will give you a higher price once you arrive. Dont ever have them wait for you cause they will charge you extra. There are always one around.

It was my 7th trip to Mazatlan. I have stayed the last 6 times at Los Sabalos. Prices are right and the people are efficient and very friendly. Breakfast was my favorite time, overlooking the Pacific and watching the surf. Hard to beat. Nice little gym and a couple of computers available for guests. Had a fantastic time, as usual. Love the hotel.

Great place for kids. Pool and easy beach access. Expedia gave me a great deal on lodging and air fare.
