Hotel needs to work on bug problems!

Very friendly staff. beautiful views.

This hotel is in a great location near the beach (across the street) and right next to the Lucaya Marketplace. It is really close to a lot of fun things. We stayed there knowing we weren't going to spend a lot of time in the room so it didn't need to e a top of the line 5 star hotel. The staff was very nice but the hotel itself needs renovating just to update things. It does have a frig, microwave, and coffee maker in the room which is nice.

Did'nt care for condition of room or bathroom,if you place food on table ant's come out.

I chose the Port Lucaya Resort & Yacht Club because I want to stay in a small and quiet hotel, close to the casino and beach, but with an "isolated" feeling environment. This is the place to stay, close...but not too close to the action. The casino was great, and so was the marketplace. The people friendly and helpful. I would go back for a restful vacation.

The staff is friendly and helpful and the hotels proximity is amazing it was next door to everything, Shopping, nightlife,resturaunts,beach. My husband and I enjoyed the hotel and staff a little dissappointed with decor, hotel needs alot of work but overall for the price ok to lay your head. The food on the island is very very expensive we purchased 2 cheesburgers and cost us $32!!. We loved Zorba's (very inexpensive) and Subway and utilized the fridge in the room to store our water and candybars :). If you are in a hurry for anything please do not visit,no one or no thing is done fast in the bahamas. Overall my husband and I loved just being away and the experience.

Hotel is wonderful, they have all that you need. There is no need for a rental car because everything is within walking distance - but if you wish to rent a car (or scooters) all is conveniently located close by.

Port Lucaya Resort and Yacht Club is wonderfully located close to all the shopping and activites that Port Lucaya has to offer. Everything was in walking distance(2 to 5 minutes max) from the hotel-shopping, casino, beach, excursions, etc. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. The buildings are all color coded, which add to the Bahamian vibe. I stayed in the turoquise building. The pool is great too! I had a standard room with a marnia view and a king size bed. The room was clean, spacious, and had a great view. Room service was performed daily and done well. My only concern would be my room's location for some travelers. We had a room closest to the activites, which was great for two 20's somethings who want to dance and party. However, the music and partying across the marnia could be heard all night long, even with the window closed. We did not mind it at all. However, if you need quiet to sleep and do not want to hear the Macerna until midnight, make sure you call to request a room away from the noise.

this hotel has fantastic location in terms of beaches, shopping, entertainment. Clean and nice, not pretending to be anything more than that. however, beware of service! ;-) we requested wake up call 3 (!) times in 3 different days - nothing. hotel staff is chilling big time, Bahamas, who can blame them! other than that - good times

if you want to get some sleep, make sure you don't get room in buildings 1, 2 or 3 - gets a bit loud in the mornings

The Port Lucaya Yaught Club is a great place to rest your head at night and has a wonderful pool to use during the day. The beach is more than 300 yards away. Your people must measure the way the bird flies not the route you have to travel by walking. We enjoyed the shopping area and the restaurants and bars, but don't be in a hurry because they aren't.

This hotel while not swanky or plush was comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the marina. The hotel grounds are well maintained and kept. Overall I was very pleased with the Port Lucaya Resort and yacht Club. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

This is an affordable hotel with great amenities and nearby lots of shops and restaurants, and only a short walk from the beach. I highly recommend it.
