This hotel looks exactly as it does online. beautiful view of the water and marina. Nice tavern restaurant, a little expensive, but nice. only bad thing there was construction on the building behind the hotel. But this was a quiet place hotel workers were very nice. i would definitely stay here again.

We cannot say enough good things about this hotel. At first I was a bit skeptical as the cab driver did not know where it was and it is quite secluded. (Ask for the Columbus Tavern Restaurant). We had a 2 bedroom suite which was spotless and fully equipped, including a kitchen that was completely stocked with all things needed for cooking (save the food). The Columbus Tavern Restaurant was lovely, open aired. It was perfection eating a local meal while watching the ships and gulls go by and the Caribbean Breeze cooling us off. The staff will drive you to the beach (a quick walk if you like) and if they are available they will drive you in the golf cart to the local market also. Going into Nassau by boat from the hotel was a highlight of our trip (all of the hotel's transportation was complimentary). Cabbage Beach is one of the finest you will ever see. A short walk up the beach you can go parasailing, banana boating, jet skiing, the kids loved it (bring cash). Since we knew we had a kitchen, we brought snacks and non-perishables with us and bought the makings for breakfast and lunches at the local market. Food is expensive anywhere you go, so bring what you can. Although we had snacks with us, I would have brought nonperishable food (peanut butter etc) and get bread, eggs, etc there. We have been home for a day now, and miss our beautiful balcony view, extremely pleasant staff, beautiful beaches and island perfection.
Traveler's tip:
Many places did not take credit cards if the purchase was under $20.00, and many places in Nassau (straw market) did not take cards at all, so be prepared with lots of cash. Again, if you have a room with a kitchen, pack non perishable food, maybe in a suitcase that you will bring back filled with treasures. We also brought activities to do in the room at night, jig saw puzzles (we got 2 done), board games, books, etc.

Rooms need updating a lot and there was Zero / Zilch for hotel service. You had one women in the office and a errand guy...that was it.
Brings lots of cash to Nassau... everything is extremely expensive..(like $15.00 for a hamburger)

Located SE side of Pdise Island, tucked in just before the golf resort that takes over the Eastern tip. Beach is 15 min walk; walk itself not bad, but the sun can make it feel longer. Hotel schedules a golf cart to take guests there twice a day, but if you ask nicely theyll have someone take you over at other times, too. Beach is great, best ive seen in my ltd Caribn experience. Just wish there werent so many boats & jetskis zipping around & they wouldnt get so close to shore. Not a big problem tho. The construction others mentioned was nonissue. Most if not all major work is done. PHC&M is a timeshare, with a few hotel rooms. Grounds well maintained. Room spacious & clean. The TV was staticky, but I wasnt there to watch TV. Staff mostly friendly; woman who checked us in on Sat had a playful way about her. I liked one tall young man there who gave us a couple Heinekens for the beach, free. Woman in charge on Mon a.m. was diff story. We asked for a late checkout so we could go to beach in a.m. & then clean up before an afternoon flight, but she said no way, checkout was at 10. Her attitude was, basically, too bad. That was unhelpful, but overall we enjoyed our stay (we went to the beach anyway, using the propertys pool area to clean up). Only real drawback is location. Tho close to the beach, PI restaurants are $$$. Unless you eat at the on-property restaurant (Columbus Tavern, which is quite good) for every meal, you will need to take taxis & the $ can add up.
Traveler's tip:
Here's a tip for adventurous types with strong stomachs. if youre looking to save a little money, try the lunch cart that sets up on the construction site on weekdays. We shouldered up alongside the construction workers and resort staff, got ourselves a large plate of curry chicken (they also had fried chicken, fish, and other stuff), mac&cheese, and two drinks for $12, and ate it by the pool. It was enough food for a light lunch for two, and definitely the cheapest food option on PI!

I had a great stay at this hotel, it's a little off the beaten path but that was also a bonus to me, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms I stayed in were much bigger then I had inticipated and I loved the balacony overlooking the marina. This is a very quite and quaint place to stay and highly recommend to anyone looking for a romantic or peacefull stay on Paradise Island.
Make sure you review the taxi rate schedule before you take one, they will try to charge you more then they should be.

This is a older timeshare property on Paradise Island. We had a 2 bedroom that provided plenty of room for our family of 4. The room was dated but good for the price. Full kitchen that helps keep the cost down if you choose. Beds were comfortable and the staff was polite. The tavern on the property has good food and nightly entertainment. It's a little loud but is usually quiet by 11pm. The beach is a 10 minute walk. It's a beautiful beach with crystal clear water. The hotel has limited shuttle service to the beach and Nassau. It was a nice one time visit but we won't return. I would recommend this hotel to anyone or family looking for a cheaper get away to beautiful Paradise Island.
Traveler's tip:
The hotel does a great snorkling trip on Thursday's. They took us to "Rose Island" for the afternoon. It was outstanding. Ask about it at the desk.

This place is a hidden gem. Only a 5 min walk to the beach or you can use the free shuttle service. The staff was warm and friendly, very accomadating. We had a beautiful view of the marina from our room. The full kitchen was a definite plus and saved us a ton of money. I will definitely stay here again!

We were pleasantly surprised by the small size of the resort, the intimacy. Our room (junior suite) was plenty big for the two of us, with a marvelous balcony looking out onto Nassau Bay. It was great fun watching the small yachts come and go from our doorstep! not to mention the captains vigorously cleaning their pride and joys. The local restaurant (Columbus Tavern) was also quite good, although we only ate there once. This was a great place to relax and just unwind, very few children running around -- all around peace and quiet, that is if you don't count the construction going on behind the resort. What looks to be a beautiful new condo development is being built right behind this resort (so won't block the view) but for now there is a bit of construction noise. It is a bit of a walk to all the other amenities on the island (about 20 minutes), but it was a beautiful walk, so we didn't mind so much. And the mini-mart at a resort closer by (about 10 minutes walk) was actually no higher priced than the ones further away, so don't be afraid to use it! And the beach is actually on the opposite side of the island, also just 10 minutes walk, just past the mini-mart. The resort offers shuttles to the beach and mini-mart, and also into Nassau, so it tries to make up for its more remote location.
Traveler's tip:
If you're there on the last Friday of the month, be sure and sign up at the front desk for Tea with Lady Joan Foulkes at Government House in Nassau! We did, and it was great -- also free-of-charge! There was entertainment and of course the compulsory tea, cakes and sandwiches of an English tea!

We really enjoyed the PHC. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. (Not Atlantis.....but neither was the price!) Full kitchen, balcony and beautiful harbor view overlooking the marina. Private & tucked away with a short walk to a gorgeous beach and a longer walk to Atlantis. We ran on the beach to start the day....you can do a 3-4 mile loop up Cabbage Beach all the way past Atlantis. Gorgeous! Columbus Tavern Happy hour was great too.....$4 Bahama Mamas & complimentary Conch fritters. Only negative aboput the PHC was that the internet connection/computer/ printer in the office never seemed to work properly and it was a hassle to print boarding passes & handle e-mails etc. They should probably have someone look at their computer.....other than that the hotel was very nice.
Traveler's tip:
Great (relatively) inexpensive Chinese food at the East Villa on Bay Street just East of Downtown Nassau. Check out the Graycliff Humidor for a cigar after dinner......they will hand roll cigars for you! Really cool! The only negative in Nassau (other than it was kind of dumpy in places) is that almost every cab driver tried to charge us more than the regulated fare.....we got into a hassle after nearly every cab ride.....what a pain...

This was my gf and my first trip to the Bahamas (Feb 2009) and we had a fantastic time and the Paradise Harbour Club and Marina was a big part of that. The property is not a 4 star all inclusive resort typical of Paradise Island, but if you like clean, quiet and spacious rooms, a friendly staff, added perks like free bike rentals and access to an amazingly pristine and uncrowded beach (8 min walk, 3 min bike ride) all at a reasonable price; this is the place for you. My favorite part was having breakfast every morning on the balcony overlooking the marina and sea, watching sail boats go by. Beautiful! Tip: Try for a top floor if you can to maximize the view. Also, taxis are ridiculously expensive. The hotel has some free shuttle services, but Paradise Island is pretty small and I really recommended the bikes, even downtown Nassau is a short bike ride away and is a great way to see both islands, pick up some groceries or go to the beach. Also, the construction other reviewers have noted is not on this property itself, but next door. When we stayed it was a good way done already and we did not notice any noise at all.
Traveler's tip:
The restaurant near the hotel is pricey just as all dining options in the Bahamas, but actually had pretty decent food. Happy hour is the best time to go for the specials and to socialize/get tips with other guests (who often were timeshare owners). Go to the Fish Fry in Nassau and for the freshest conch salad, go just over the bridge in Nassau where there is a bunch of stalls and a mini market where the conch fishermen sell their catch (Daphneys was amazing!!).

Walk to Atlantis-(about .5 miles) You can purchase a day pass. Rooms have a full kitchen. Nice with kids for breakfast-there's a mini convenience store across the street. Cereal/milk/juice eggs available there. Save on the $15.oo breakfast/person at the Columbus Tavern. Heat up last night's dinner's left overs for lunch. Save some money. Small pool-hot tub. Beach is a 10-15 min walk across the street.

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation looking out over the water from your private balcony or lying on the beach enjoying the amazing turquoise water, this is the hotel for you. It is located at the far end of Paradise Island away from the craziness of Atlantis or downtown Nassau. However, each can easily be reached by walking, taxi, or public transportation. Paradise Island is very small and everything is well within walking distance. It is much more tranquil and scenic than the main island so your best bet is to stay on Paradise Island.

Friendly staff. Enjoyed free use of bicycles to explore Paradise Island. Close proximity to Ocean Club golf course so leisurely stroll there convenient. Lovely Cabbage beach just short distance from property. Free water taxi to/from Nassau though limited schedule and baggage not allowed. On premises restaurant/bar pleasant with yummy complimentary conch fritters at happy hour. Only negative comment was after 2nd nights lodging, returned to the room to find beds unmade and no clean towels. Construction of new structure a stones throw away could get noisy but when we stayed, this was not the case.

Hotel provides good services, such as free Water Taxi to downtown. The hotel is under construction during the time I stayed in December 08. It was a little bit noisy early in the morning. Other than that, good price for the hotel room.

I loved the fact that it was a little secluded and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of some of the other major resorts on Paradise Island. I know that when they've completed all of the updates, the rooms will even be more spectacular. Will definitely do another for a longer time...great value for money. Nice views
Traveler's tip:
Take advantage of the full kitchen, if you want to save on dining. Shop at any of the major Foodstores on Nassau versus, Paradise Island to see the savings.

"Exceptionally clean, bright, clear water beach is a short walk away". "If you like seclusion, this is the place to be! Located next to the marina, you'll love the view from patio, especially at night. Friendly staff, clean accommodations, water taxi and shuttle service are great for getting into town. Restaurant on site.

Part of the hotel is under construction, which I would hear banging noises in the morning. Mini-market and beach is 7-minutes walk away. Only one restaurant, so you will probably be bored with the food after 2 days.

Pictures don't show what you will see when you arrive. In front of the PHC is construction so the property immediately looks dirty. The front desk was not overly friendly or inviting. The brochure advertises bikes to use and continental breakfast, but what they don't tell you is that both things are at their other property, down the street. The staff at their sister property Paradise Island Beach Club is very rude and unhelpful. The wait staff at their Breezeway Cafe where you eat your continental breakfast is slow and unwelcoming. The only saving grace for this hotel is the beach and ocean, which they have no control over. The Tavern Bar/Restaurant is overly expensive. The water taxi was a nice feature and the driver was pleasant. Our room was far from three star. The bathroom was tiny and in need of some updates. The entire time the shower was running it squeaked. They charge you for everything and they make you take your own sheets off the beds before you leave. I would definetly not recommend this property or its sister property to anyone.
Traveler's tip:

The resort was very well kept But construction going on 10 feet from our door. Some of the hotel staff were very helpful others did not want to be bothered. The beach is about a 10 min walk from resort.
