Great small hotel with spectacular view of Eagle Beach. Ask for a downstairs room if you can't walk up the spiral staircase.
Traveler's tip:
Tulip restaurant 10 feet away has great Dutch food favorites

The location is perfect - the staff is excellent and the food is delicious. I won't hesitate a minute to recommend this hotel to anyone who want to visit Aruba. Believe it or not I plan to go back to Aruba and MVC will be my hotel.
Traveler's tip:
Aruba is safe and beautiful. If you are looking for a place to relax please do not hesitate to choose it and please take advantage of its beaches, its shopping malls, its casinos and you will have a lot of places to visit.

Our flight was late. We were greated in the courtyard by a hotel representative welcoming us to the island and their hotel after midnight. Ideal, inexpensive place to stay. Clean, neat and a 2 minute walk to the prettiest beach in the world. Would recommend to anyone that can't afford a $100+ a night hotel.

This is our second visit to MVC. Our first was in 2007. What a great off the beaten path place to stay. Very friendly staff from top to bottom. They actually have a restaurant there called the Tulip which we did not take advantage off our first visit. We were not disappointed with the food there. They are doing some construction right around MVC but it's not that bad. It will only be bad if they try to weed out our little jewel called MVC. Yes you have to take your own lounge chairs across the street to the beach but we are both approaching 60 years young and we managed just fine. If you like less frills and people then this is for you. Thanks MVC Eagle Beach and staff.
Traveler's tip:
Rent a car for your stay. The island is the perfect size and can be traveled from one end to the other without a lot of trouble. I must admit they do not have a lot of signs and some guessing will be involved once you get away from the main cities. You must spend some time on the East or back side of the island. It's awsome. Do not forget to bring your snorkeling gear. Have fun.

My wife and I were extremely happy with our stay, we would recommand MVC to anyone who enjoys a close knit hotel. The staff is friendly and accomadating. The Tulip Resturant, which is part of MVC, offers amazing food and has an outstanding crew. The continental breakfast was quite good. Eagle Beach is directly across the street and was uncrowded during our stay. We thought that was refreshing and relaxing considering some beaches seem so crowded. The only complaint that we might raise is that the bed is a little hard. But your body gets used to it after a day or two. :) The value of MVC Eagle Beach is great and leaves you with money to enjoy Aruba's many attractions and restaurants.

Great staff and location. A good value for the budget minded. Also, it's fun to get away from the American tourists and fast food franchises.
Traveler's tip:
You don't need a car, take the bus. Remember to get your beach chair at the hotel and take it across the beach, it will keep you up high enough to avoid much of the blowing sand.

Good deal for the money but don't expect a lot. I had to ask for an extra washcloth (only one) and pillow and was told that "this is not my home". The place was clean and the housekeeping staff cannot understand English, but tried.
Traveler's tip:
This is a small place to stay if you want to save a bit of money. It was clean and the service was OK. It includes a continental breakfast, each morning, the same everyday. It is just across the street from Eagle beach. Topless women abound so watch out for your young kids.

The room was very clean and basic. No elevators and small spiral staircase made it difficult to maneuver luggage.

They did not get much right and just seem to be riding the high cost wave in Aruba. The spa was turned off during the whole stay. Breakfast was from 7.30-10 AM. Check-out was at 10 AM and they became furious when you didn't manage to check out eating breakfast at the same time. Started calling the room reapeatedly at 10 AM sharp to harass. Big mistake to stay there.

MVC Eagle Beach is an absolute diamond. I just spent four days there and the place is fantastic. Excellent service and well run property. Its' only fault is the location as well as its' best feature. Only steps from the beach, it is in the perfect location. On the other hand, nothing else on the island is within walking distance. However, I would return there again. The bus stop is directly across the street and for 1.30$ you can be downtown. Perhaps paradise has to be far away.

The place is more a small-16 room Motel than a Hotel. Very clean and adequate but very basic. No amenities. It is across the street from very beautiful Eagle Beach and is connected to a very cute dining Cafe where we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast buffet each morning. Not dissatisfied with the place, but there are many nicer in Aruba.

This hotel is right across from Eagle Beach. The beds were VERY uncomfortable, so if you are elderly or have back problems, this is NOT the hotel for you. There is NOONE at the front desk from 3:30pm to 9:00am, so if you need something, you are stuck. You have to carry your own beach chairs across the road to the beach, and the problem is there are only 3 beach chairs that are in good condition. So, if you aren't strong, you wont be able to get the chairs to the beach. The Tulip restaurant is good though. Saturday and Sunday there are many locals at Eagle Beach, we actually had a problem with a few boys harsssing us. Also beware of the morning breakfast--- the cheese, yogert, meats is all left outside UNREFRIDGERATED. In 90 degree heat, this is not a good idea to leave food sitting out for hours without ice or refridgeration...so beware! You do not want to get food poisioning!
Traveler's tip:
Go to Oranjestad and Palm Beach to eat. Iguana Joes is GREAT!

My husband and I LOVED this hotel. It was extremely clean, had a large dorm-sized refrigerator, has ample parking, and is right across the street from a beautiful beach. We even had a perfect view of the beach/ocean from our room, but only some of the 2nd floor rooms have that. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the resorts, but it is very inexpensive, very clean, and has everything we needed. It is also VERY European - the type of toilets, the style of the room, and the breakfast. The breakfast is European continental, not American contenental, and consists of breads, meats (lunchmeat), cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee. We also enjoyed that this is on a quiet part of Eagle Beach, and there were very few people near us. They do have a pool, but it is very tiny, so we didn't use it at all.

MVC is conveniently located right across from eagle beach and included free breakfast. Nothing fancy, just bread, ham, cheese, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, oj, coffee and tea. This is a low budget hotel, so there aren't many amenities, bring your own shampoo and conditioner. This didn't matter to us, we just packed our own trial size toiletries. All we needed was a clean place to sleep. The bus stops were within steps of the hotel. They offered free internet by the bar lobby, which also played pretty good music at night. The on-site Tulip restaurant wasn't bad and was affordable. The only thing that bothered me was the bed. It was kind of hard and you can feel the springs almost. I stayed for 5 days, and any longer it would've killed my back. Also, there's construction going on next door (but really wasn't that loud, just keep the windows shut). It wasn't that bad as they don't start crazy early, but you might be affected if you're a light sleeper or like to sleep in til noon. We asked for extra beach towels everyday and the cleaning lady was really nice and attentive, as with other people working in this place. They were friendly and answered all our questions. Overall, we got what we paid for. I'd recommend this place for short trips, esp. if you're on a budget and don't need all the fancy quirks.
Traveler's tip:
Most of the stuff in Aruba are imported, so they're expensive. Many dining options near MVC (inside other hotels), all within walking distance. We've tried Mangos and El Florio. There's also a minimart 2 hotels down. Buses are cheap and are the most convenient mode of transportation, so dare take it to downtown and to palm beach. Must try Madame Janette, great food (with a big tab!). Try a jeep or ATV tour for an off-road experience, they bring you to places you can only go to by driving.

It's not a luxury hotel, but for the price they are charging, we are very very happy with its perimeter, room, location and service.

This is a small motel type hotel with excellent customer service in the low rise hotel part of town in front of Eagle Beach. Other than restaurants from other hotels in area not much within walking distance but public bus stop in front of hotels makes hotel zone and downtown nightlife accessible. Very small pool but who needs pool when you have the ocean in front. Food in restaurant good and reasonably priced. I don't think you get new sheets and towels daily but the room is cleaned daily. Overall, it's a good economic stay for a quiet weekend. Taxi drivers were unfamiliar with small hotel so you must reference the Tulip restaurant (on the hotel grounds) or Chalet Suisse.
Traveler's tip:
Stay here and take the public bus wherever you have to go (shopping, Palm Beach, lighthouse, downtown nightlife or other parts of island by transfer). It only cost $1.30 per person and runs frequently until midnight.

It is a small hotel has limited amenities that is situated directly accross from the pristine Eagle beach. There is a kiddie pool and small playground on site. A European continental breakfast was available. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel was clean and in a convenient location. The restaurant breakfast was quite good and the service was excellent. One of the dinner staff was a little rigid about reservations when the restaurant was half full. This caused us to dine elsewhere in the evening. We didn't want to be scolded for not having made reservations. Otherwise, the service was excellent. The accomodations were adequate with the exception of the very small beds, and unusual bed linens. People arriving at night will not be notified of any of the hotel amenities. We were not aware of beach chairs that were available to us. In spite of those shortcomings, I would stay there again and I would recommend it to someone who wants very simple living for their vacation.

If you want to save money and want a clean hotel in a good location this place is not bad. We arrived on Easter Sunday so the office was closed, however the wait staff at the Tulip restaraunt which is at the hotel was waiting for us- they greeted us by name and had our key waiting for us. The room is basic but had a comfortable bed, a fridge, plenty of closet space. The room was extremely clean. Beach towels were provided and easy to get, the hotel also provides beach chairs- you have to get them and bring them with you to the beach and return them when your done- they are not locked up and are easily accessible. Eagle beach is right across the street. We had a second story room so had a view of the ocean. We rented a car- the hotel has a parking lot behind it with access to the property from the lot. They do lock the gates in front and back at night but we were given a key to them at check-in. Breakfast is included in the room rate- they served a buffet including hard boiled eggs, assorted breads, meats, cheeses yogurt, fruit etc.. The food at the Tulip was good and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful- the manager in the hotel office assisted us in renting the car. If you want a large resort with lots of ammenities this is not the place, but if you are going on a budget and just need a clean, comfortable well located room I would reccomend this hotel.
