Very pleasant weekend. Great view from our room, very friendly hotel staf, and the food simply delicious, specially machaca con huevo and mariscada. Boat ride and sunbathing in Venado's island, right in front of hotel was great.

Do have breakfast at the hotel.

A wonderful way to get away at a great hotel. Inexpensive but not feeling like anything short of great. From the roomy and comfortable rooms, to the beautiful surroundings, to the relaxing atmosphere.

Relax and enjoy

Beautiful ocean-views with islands from balconies, beautiful sunsets. Super location, close to the actions as restaurants and shopping, everything in walking distance! Very attentive, caring, English speaking staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, very quite with no disturbances. Restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinners, very great with ocean view and terrace. Both pools with waterfall very clean, can see the ocean from pool. Very reasonable pricing. very great value for the money, Definitely worth to return also with family, kids and friends.

My brother and I stayed here for a week in Sept 2009. On the second day, we switched from a town-side room to a beach side room, and it was awesome. The balcony was perfect for watching body boarders and pelicans at the beach. We loved the convenient access to a safe beach for swimming...usually we swam in the ocean then rinsed off and swam in the pool. Warm water rules! Staff were friendly and helpful, and the wireless internet in the lobby was fast. My only complaint was that the elevators weren't too reliable.

Nice Stay at This Hotel

We had a very nice stay at this Hotel. We liked the location - not too far out, but not too far in the center of Mazatlan. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The hotel is built close to the water and it has a nice beach area. The only drawback is the band music provided at the pool at night. We didn't expect it to be so loud and continue so late into the night (2-3am). On two nights we closed our windows and even then, we couldn't escape the music.

Traveler's tip:

The extensive number of "hawkers" selling condos and time shares in Mazatlan really make vacations there much less enjoyable. We suggest saying no and then walking on. The more you respond the more they continue.

I am a woman in my late 40's and have traveled alot through Mexico by myself. I have stayed in hotels and resorts from 2 star to 5 star, and this hotel was very satisfactory. Right on the beach and walking distance to everything. The room was basic, clean and I felt safe. No matter what grade hotel you get or how much you pay, in Mexico, you are still going to get a hard bed, probably low water pressure and the service is usually great. I wish people would stop complaining about the hard beds and the locals not being able to speak english very well. Spanish is there national language. You are in there country and should try to acclimate to the culture. Mexicans try very hard to accomadate tourists, make them feel welcome and do a great job at it.

The staying was very satisfying, because everything you need is within walking distances. starting with the greatest place to eat with family is the Panama, is about eight walking minutes. The market, to get cheap and all you need to survive during your staying is the Gran Plaza, either exersicewalking takes 35 minutes to 40 or taxi or the regular buses. the Hotel is beachfront, private beach, drinks served near the shore under the palapa umbrellas, next to souvenir stores, great restaurant with night dancing during the happy hour, with live music, excellent family oriented atmosphere, fair pricing for all the services. My wife and I are very pleased with this hotel that we decided to revisited 2 years later.

It's a great place for the family, if you take a taxi to old downtown(50-60 pesos) you'll find more bargains and places to eat

It wasn't easy to get the attention of the front desk staff - we had to go right up to the desk and wave! The front desk staff was the only staff in the hotel that were inattentive and disorganized. The restaurant, bar, and pool staff were EXCELLENT! We had an ocean view room on the top floor which was beautiful and DEFinately worth the money. Enjoyed watching the birds and parasailers from our private balcony. The location was great.

Hotel overall was good for the price. I would go back. The beds however are super hard. The room service is fast and food is really tasty. The beach front location is to die for, and they have ample supply of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Short walking distance from shops and good eats. I wouldn't recommend the street view rooms, too loud. They changed rooms for us to an ocean view and we slept soundly, other than the hard bed. Two thumbs up!

Traveler's tip:

Pacho's next door to Las Flores Hotel, is highly recommended for excellent food and the service was great. The owner actually made our desert for us "flaming bannana" yummy! Also has a great ocean front view for sunset dining.

You get what you pay for. Cheap prices and a decent hotel. Not the fanciest hotel, but if you are intrested in the beach, having a good time and not worrying too much about how the hotel looks, this hotel is good for you. Pool was a little cold. Did not hear to much noise when we were in the room. One thing we like, was that the time time share crew did not bother us too much.

Traveler's tip:

Go to the Panama's restaurant. Just one and a half block away. Good food and good prices.

We got the Jr Suite and it was small, I wish there would have been a little more space. Room was clean, good location- right on the beach and across the street from the shells museum, a good place to look for gifts. A lot of attractions are in just on a walking distane.

We have stayed here before and had a really positive experience. This time, however, the front desk ladies were rude. When requested more towels, we never received them. The room had a strong urine smell, and we had cockroaches! The waiters in the dining room do a fantastic job!

Traveler's tip:

Purple Onion is a fabulous place to eat.

The hotel staff was very friendly, kind, helpful and courtous. I was most impressed when told that I would be getting a top floor room with a beautiful ocean view. Over all I was very satisfied with my stay and would recommend it to my friends.

This is a very nice hotel for those who have families and wish to take their children. There are 2 swimming pools in the property and you have direct access on the beach to parasailing, waterbike.
