What to expect: Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo put the tip of Baja on the coveted-travel map. The InterContinental Presidente Los Cabos is in the quieter San Jose. The Sierra de San Lazaro Mountains provide a backdrop to the resort’s low-rise, earth-colored adobe buildings on a white-sand beach on the Sea of Cortez. The resort serves both couples and families with daily recreation activities. Swimming off the beach is not recommended due to strong undertow. This was my 5th trip to San Jose del Cabo and my 4th time staying at the InterContinental Presidente Los Cabos All Incusive Resort. I really like this hotel as the property is very large and the buildings are only three stories so you don't feel like a large hotel with all the rooms on top of each other. The food is always good and the price with flight/room/food was very affordable. Already planning our next trip. The Estuary is right next to the hotel and has lots of wildlife. The walk into town is very convenient and there are so many places to see and restaurants to visit in town.

We arrived in Los Cabos on November 3rd. The weather was perfect our entire stay-80s during the day and low 60s at night. Our hotel went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. All of their restaurants were open during our stay and ranged from very casual to dressy. The food was excellent. We especially enjoyed El Patio. We also got great tips from our hotel staff about local spots to avoid the crowds. Ask about their local beach in San Jose...you have to go and ask, I won't name it here. You'll have it all to yourself and it's safe to swim here, take your beer, grab a palapa and enjoy! There are great fish tacos sold at The Marina Inn, it's right across the street. We absolutely loved Cabo and the Inter Continental Hotel. We'll definteley be back.

Went down to this resort on our honeymoon, and had a great time! The people at the resort were extremely nice and helpful, the food is great, and the resort is absolutely beautiful! I recommend going on some of the trips while you are there, such as the city tour or the glass bottom boat tour, they were great. The only complaint I have is that in Mexico all beaches are public, so out on the beach there are lots of locals selling their wares. You can say no, but sometimes they are very annoying. Other than that the trip was amazing and I would recommend it highly!

Go in the fall, We went at the end of October and the resort was almost empty, we had the whole place to ourselves, and the weather was still great, 75-85 every day and no rain.

Traveler's tip:

They have the best soups there would love to get some of there recipes. Lots of different types of cusine throughout the week you stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at 'El Presidente' and found the price reasonable. I would not place this hotel among the elite for several reasons. The food and restaurant service was not consistently good. We had to change rooms because the WiFi wasn't working in the wing in which we were originally placed. The rooms were nice but small. Most of the personnel spoke little english. On the other hand the room service and the spa services were excellent. Concierge services were quick and knowledgeable. The setting was beautiful. We recommend this hotel.

This place is beautiful. We had a wonderful experience here. Service, food and drinks were superb as well as the activities. Overall, everything was great. We will definitely be back. The thing we really loved is that there all kinds of activities during the day. At night, things quietend down. This is not a big party spot at night which might be a negative thing to some, but not us.

We have been to the resort 2 times and preparing for number 3. We have encountered some of the finest people from around the world at this resort. We find it restful, peaceful and with a great service staff. We have traveled around the world and find this to be OUR favorite place to go and visit. We can have a drink and listen to beautiful music and have some of the best drinks I can imagine. Personally I love the food and we will venture out to San Jose and San Lucas for limited excursions (eg. Sunset cruise or a restaurant). This place will RESTORE your Soul!

Traveler's tip:

Edith's in San Lucas is a must! Also, recommend the Mojito at Tropicana Inn in San Jose.

This resort was really A+ quality in every way. It is very spacious and well maintain in every aspect. The service was excellent and the food choices were great, always 2 places for breakfast, lunch by the pool or buffet, and for dinner you could choose between the ever changing dinner show buffet or 2 different fine dining choices. Believe it or not you could also get room service 24/7 for only $2.50. The never ending alcohlic beverages makes the all inclusive complete. We would definitely go back. San Jose del Cabo is a beatiful place, the center of this little town is only 10 minutes from resort, Cabos San Lucas the upscale, marina, tour part of Cabo is about 25 minutes from resort. You have to get past all the time share sales people and find your own tours. Don't believe they are going to give you anything free or at a discounted rate because they probalbly won't.

Traveler's tip:

Get your own taxi, outside the hotel on the streets to save a few bucks.

This is supposedly the oldest resort in San Jose del Cabo. It is also the furthest away from the popular attraction - Cabo San Lucas marina, so you will spend 10-20 bucks per person to catch a shuttle to go where the action is. We went all-inclusive, but rarely ate there (just too many attractions outside the resort to just stay there all day). Plus, half their restaurants were closed at any given time, so if you do not reserve a table for the one restaurant open that evening, you were stuck with the buffet. The 2 times we ate at the buffet, the food was fairly decent. We did get into the restaurant one evening and opted to pay $30 for steaks, which are not covered in all inclusive. The drinks were bottom shelf liquors and the mixes were too sweet (bad combination). Also, they make you wear a colored bracelet to distinguish if you are all inclusive or not. Everyone knows (especially the time-share hounds) that you stay at the Presidente when they see you with the bracelet (which you can't take off, either). The rooms were old, but clean. The beds are very firm. Also, anything above the ground floor does not have a deck. The advertised deck was an indoor breakfast nook with no outside access to take in the ocean, stars, etc. I recommend this hotel for people who don't plan on staying at the resort for anything other than sleeping and breakfast and rents a car. If you have never been to Cabo, I recommend you stay at a resort in San Lucas close enough to walk into town.

Traveler's tip:

If you don't mind spending 2-3 hours (they say 90 minutes, but no way)listening to time-share presentations, you can get a lot of free gifts. We got all our excursions free through them, even a rental car. Start early and they feed you breakfast at their resort and you can be done by 1100. Sunset cruise and Wild Canyoun Ziplines were the best. Snorkeling cruise was okay to get in the water, but not much variety in fish or coral to look at. Too many bars and restaurants to mention at the marina.

Everything was great at the hotel----food good and drinks very good! Staff was very polite and most accomadating. Bar Estero and Alma were the best! Had a good stay! Would recommend ceiling fans in rooms to help circulate the air. Shuttle service could be expaned and should be a no cost to guests. Adult pool area was very peaceful. Would recommend hotel and would return myself.

Traveler's tip:

Shuttle service limited and costs extra. To get around you will need taxi service, especially when hot and sunny!

The only thing that we noticed, and it didn't impact us, was the quality of the evening meal. For Americans, now I know meat is a big deal. The beef was always cut much too thin. The wonderful staff and all the spa services, sun, and sand make San Jose the place to stay if you are looking for a restful trip.

Traveler's tip:

If quality beef is important to you, you may want to make evening meal plans elsewhere.

We couldn't have been more pleased. The resort and rooms were very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks were very good and enough variety to always walk away happy. We'd definitely go back again.

Traveler's tip:

Hustle through the airport fast to your hotel shuttle outside. Timeshare sharks will lie and say they're from your shuttle company, just to try to give you free attraction coupons and get you to sign up to see their resort.

I give "High Marks" for the Intercontinental Presidente Hotel in Cabos San Jose. The pools, lobbys, food and groundskeeping were superior to other hotels in Mexico I have frequeneted.

Traveler's tip:

There were several tour agencies in the lobby daily to make travelers of the many activities that may be of interest to their interests.

This all-inclusive was a terrific deal. My husband, his brother and I stayed for a week and didn't want to leave. The staff went out of the way to make our trip fantastic. The activities and entertainment ranged from Mexican bingo to tennis and guided bike tours of San Jose. There are four pools to enjoy. One of which is where the activities happen (pool volleyball, water aerobics, bingo, question of the day...) Another pool is an adult only pool. It is very quiet and relaxing. There is a kids pool next to the activity pool. The only downfall might be that we really couldn't swim in the ocean, as it has a bad undertoe. But we did know this before booking our trip.
