I had never been to Mazatlan, but have spent several vacations in Cabo and Ixtapa. We choose Mazatlan this time because of the non-stop flight available. We spent time in the hotel section prior to the condo becoming available and both units were very nice. They could use some extra serving pieces in case people really do cook in the room, but we managed to feed 10 people on a few occassions. The beach in front of this resort in one of the nicest on the Gold Coast. There are no rocks or hazards just slighly under the water as there are at other hotels. All amenities are very close and the people are wonderful. I would stay here again.

We love staying at The Inn and have for about 8 years. The staff is wonderful and very helpful with any questions or problems, We love waking up to the sound of the ocean and although the room we stay in has a kitchen, we are usually found enjoying the resturaunt on site, Papagyos. The food their is wonderful and if you catch a fish while out deep sea fishing, they will prepare it for you. There are various activities available during the day and evening (yoga, water arobics, painting...) We love the Inn and are all ready planning our next visit.

There is a small bookstore just across the street and down about a block from the Inn, here I found a book written by an American who now has a house in Mazatlan. It contains information on just about everything you can think of for someone wanting to become more aquainted with Mazatlan and to make the most of their first visit there or as with our family, our yearly visit there.

This hotel is characterized by its great customer service and terrific pool with waterfall. The rooms are very clean and nicely sized with balconies and refrigerators. They have internet service for a nominal fee and also feature a spa. Plenty of excellent restaurants nearby including Italian, Spanish, Mexican, and American fare. Local transportation abounds with buses, taxi's and pulmonias right outside the hotel entrance. I will return because they are courteous and professional. A great place to stay in Mazatlan!

Traveler's tip:

If you're into sports, visit The Dugout restaurant about a ten minute walk from the hotel. They have about seven big screen TV's with all the NFL games on Sunday, plus other sports in season. Bonus is that beers are 2 for 1 during games!

Very affordable place to stay. The Inn is located on the beach with every room having a view of the ocean. The pool area had more than enough room for the folks staying at the hotel. ervices and food was very good and consistent. Restaurant is pleasantly located ( and shielded) on ocean. Although the Inn is primarily a time share, I got very little pressure to attend a presentation on buying.

The room was very clean, but the matress of the sofa bed was veeery old and smelly. It felt like bare springs poking my back, so I slept on the back rest cushions laid on the floor instead. They need to replace the matress. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay.

Even thowgh the room seemed to be clean, it had a very bad smell that did not go away the day I stayed at the hotel. The place is located in a very good place, the service is ok but they do not say in a proper and clear way the check out policies. I paid for a 1 day stay, the room was ready to be use at 4pm and I had to check out at 10am next day. The ladies in the reception are very polite but they do not make clear the hotel policies and they are not explicit anywhere in the hotel. regards

Traveler's tip:

There are some good restaurants near by the hotel. If you are interested in eating seafood 10 minutes by car from the hotel is a very famous place called "el Guamuchilito". Good prices and very good seafood.

We stayed in the new tower. Our only suggestions is do not get a room on the corner of the building. It was VERY noisy. Other than that the hotel was nice and clean and the people were very polite and helpful.

Traveler's tip:

Mary's cafe across the street was excellent.

It takes several minutes for the water to be hot. Internet connection is expensive and slow. As we arrived, we were approached for time sharing meeting and this is not cool. The food is quite good.

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and the staff were great. The views from the hotel baloncy were great. Watching the sunset from our palapa was a very romantic setting. We also enjoyed the proximity to several different restaurants in the area. Overall, this hotel is a great place to stay.

Traveler's tip:

I would strongly recommend walking as much as you can. You can either walk on the sidewalk outside the hotel or along the beach. There are many wonderful things to see. I would also recommend taking the big, green bus when travelling to downtown. The plazuela machado is also a great place to walk, have dinner and overall enjoy the afternoon. Our greatest pleasure was having dinner at the Shrimp Bucket in olas altas. The food (oyster rockefellers) was great. Everything fresh and very reasonable.

A nice stay with good service. We stayed in the tower and got a little street noise at night, but the view out over the ocean made up for it. I do think they could upgrade their bedding. I've been there several times, although this is the first in the new tower. I would recommend the hotel for anyone staying in Mazatlan.

Traveler's tip:

Buy a calling card to phone home... the hotel connect charges are out of this world... and makes a tank of gas inexpensive by comparison

The Hotel is Ok, by the beach, happy hours twice a day and the best part is you can bring your own drink to the beach. The city does not have much to offer.

Traveler's tip:

It's good if you want to relax by the beach. The city is very touristy, the prices are not good at all and there is not much to see.

I have stayed at this hotel before and felt compelled to come back. It is a wonderful hotel with great service. I have stayed at almost all of the hotels in Mazatlan, and this one is tops by far. The staff will go out of their way to make your stay the best..you just have to ask. When I booked this trip, I emailed the hotel requesting a great room with a great view. when I arrived, they made sure to accomodate me with the best room with a view in the entire hotel. No extra cost. The only thing that was a downer was when I stayed previously, I was in the Jr.Suite and the bed was amazingly soft for Mexico. This time I stayed in a standard room and received the standard hard Mexico bed. I am used to it though so its no big deal to me. I love this hotel and its service enough to consider a time share there!

Traveler's tip:

The best places to eat: El Paraje or Heather's for breakfast. Across the street is Gus and Gus: great for any meal..Live music at night. Pancho's has the best dinner by the sea! If going on a Sunday, buffet for breakfast at the Playa hotel is great!

This is my 10th visit to the Inn. Setting, size and overall cleanliness of hotel cannot be better. They are able to retain staff year after year, so a stay here feels like home.

Traveler's tip:

Deer Island is directly in front of Zona Dorado where hotel is located. $10 rt boat ride takes you to this "desert isle" which has good snorkeling and protected swimming.
