You get what you pay for. The beds were uncomfortable and was not able to switch to a king-sized bed. The fitness center is lacking. The room was decent-sized and the location was close to Condado and a short taxi cab away from Old San Juan.,

I didn't expect it to be as nice as it was. The staff was very helpful and professional. The room was clean and the laundry room helped out a lot. I wouldn't recommend eating at the hotel restaurant, particularly breakfast. Instead eat at the 24 hour restaurant right up the street, great food at very reasonable prices.

Hotel staff very accommodating- friendly, and helpful, good location for traveling to all areas, easy access to main highways, nice clean room and the roof doubles as a sun patio-rooms non-smoking but there is a smoking area as well as the patio, the continental breakfast is of fresh fruit, cereal and toast and coffee, or they will cook a hot breakfast for you at a reasonable price, the staff goes out of their way to wait for you to return at night, and have a parking place for you. ... I will plan to return to this hotel next trip to P.R.! I got more than I expected...

Traveler's tip:

Decent hotel an econome price!

I had read lots of reviews some good and some bad but you have to be the judge of that,I didn't know anything about the hotel booked it and we enjoyed it, even though it had no pool, sundeck was nice. Hotel staff very nice and attentive. Helped us book a snorkeling day on the boat which turned out to be wonderful. We were glad that we booked this hotel and not one in the touristy part of town, we went to the touristy part and we really like that out hotel was where it was at. Access to everything and everywhere. Only downside of the hotel is that it does not have enough water pressure when showering but that was ok. Would recommend it.

Traveler's tip:

Don't book any activities. Don't have a plan we didn't and it worked out better. The Bacardi tour is free! I heard others paid just take a nice drive out there and save your money.

The rooms (we had 3) were very clean and roomy. The feeling was homey. There is no smoking in the rooms, however they have a beautiful patio on the 7th floor with bird-cages. The breeze was wonderful on the patio. The only thing that was missed is a coffee-pot in the room. The room came with a continental breakfast, which was nice. My family was very happy with this hotel.

Traveler's tip:

Visit East Islanders for the day trip/snorkling. It was great. Be careful when making reservations for the kiaking on the bio-bay. There are 2 area's where this occurrs, one on Puerto Rico and the other on a smaller island. The smaller island requires an over night stay as there are no boats going back to the main island. The smaller island is not as nice.

We loved this hotel! It was very competitively priced and turned out to be perfect for our trip. The hotel was incredibly clean and included free breakfast and free wireless. It's about a half mile from beautiful beaches and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful -- they helped us plan out our whole trip! We give this hotel our highest recommendation

Good for a business and pleasure to stay. I,m expecting less than what I pay for, but it's the other way around. There's some negative things around the area, but it was a good four short night stay overall.

Not a good area for families with children.

I wasn't looking a the fancy place to stay. when you are on vacation, you want to sleep on a confortable, cozy and quiet place. Hotel Miramar have these and the courtesy and friendliness of owner and staff. Yes, it doesn't have the parking lot you wish, but you vehicle is secured and handy. The location was perfect, becuase you can access the main higways, and old San Juan in a heartbeat. They offer a good continental breakfast, something to get your morning started and a menu with delicious local food. Thsi place is a keeper for my future returns.

Traveler's tip:

The streets are narrow on that location such is the hotel parking. just be careful driving and be patient with the local drivers. On the highway, use the left lane for traveling, right lane is mostly for passing..I know is weird, but is the general rule.

Yes they accept Pets but you are no where near water. The name of the hotel should be changed. No water View. The price is only based on the location what services. The location of hotel is too tricky to find if you are new to the area.

Traveler's tip:

Before You decide on Hotel, look at what it offers for your stay. What your need are and how much you will actually enjoy the hotel. I, on the other hand, would rather enjoy my time in a new place outside the hotel. Exploring!!!

Front desk staff absolutely polite and helpful with finding attractions and good places to eat. Beach, strip of casinos, and nightlife within 10 minute safe walk. Fifty cent 5 minute bus ride to Old San Juan stops right in front of the hotel. Perfect for an affordable and unforgettable Puerto Rican vacation! Can't wait to go back!

Traveler's tip:

Snorkeling, Bioluminescent Bay, and the El Yunque Rainforest are a must! Fajardo is about an hour away, so we didn't think we could get there because we didn't rent a car, but most places include van transportation to and from San Juan in their prices. We didn't realize this until the second to last day, but still saw everything! Absolutely breathtaking!

Well, hotel miramar is a little bit off the beaten path. If you dont mind a 5-10 minute walk to the condado, you will be fine. The neigborhood it is in is pretty nice. The rooms were big and clean. The staff at the front desk were quite helpful. They say the closest beach is .25 miles away from the hotel, they dont tell you its a lagoon (a nice lagoon, but still a lagoon)

Recently stayed one night with my family and for a "quick stay" it was perfect(pre-cruise). We caught the bus into town for dinner at the Parrot Club. The breakfast in the AM was perfect for all of us and helped offest the cost of the hotel. It was quiet and clean. My husband thought the water pressure in the shower was high. They kept our luggage while we did El Yunque tour with E&B tours. Very helpful and thoughtful staff.

Catch the bus into Old San Juan and grab a taxi home. Take several dollars of change with you as they do not accept dollar bills or make change. El Yunque tour is great for families also!

Quiet Little Hotel

I traveled here from New York City and I found it to be a great value for the budget traveler. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the beach through streets that you had to run across since they were exit ramps from the freeway, but were passable. I felt safe here as the police presence is very high, and frequently walked out past 10pm. The hotel is near little stores, a supermarket 2 blocks away, a pharmacy, and a few fast food places. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves very much. The room was not small, tv, refridgerator, microwave oven, and a safe were in the room. Room service was also available, but we chose to eat out on the strip on Ashford Ave. Everything was kept very clean. The only thing that the hotel lacked was a pool, but we made up for it by going to the beach and borrowing the pools of other hotels on the strip. We definately liked our stay here and would definately reccomend it to anyone who is looking for a quaint little hotel.

Traveler's tip:

There are many restaurants on the strip of Ashford Ave. Take a stroll and you will find an abundance of cuisine at many price ranges. The Condado beach is small, and I recommend walking a bit further to find the bigger beach midway on Ashford Ave.

The hotel was actually nice. The staff were great. The included continental breakfast was just ok and ran out of many items way early near the end of the week/weekend, so we went down the street and PAID so we could eat in comfort. There were ants in our bathroom coming from the window. We reported it but nothing was done about it. Otherwise, the room was nice, comfortable, and quiet.

Traveler's tip:

Walk or drive to the other side of the ba(opposite the hotel where you can see the ocean) and you will find many, many restaurants, bars, shops, and lots of exciting things to do plus some really nice beaches and scenery.

We found this small hotel quite comfortable. The room was spacious even if the bathroom was a little tight. The rooftop view was very nice in both evening and daytime. The restaurant had very limited seating but the food and service were good.
