we were a little unsure of what to expect from our hotel because the rates were so low and our last visit to cancun was not very good. we gave mexico another try a little further away from cancun this time and loved it. Playa de carmen is so much bettter than cancun and the resort and was great. The food was excellent and service was great. The hotel is beautiful, the spa area is unbelievable and the setting is perfect. We would recommend this place to anybody looking for an awesome vacation.

beware of the timeshare companies. they will do anything to get you in the salesroom. you can get some free food and maybe some cash for going, but the will make one day of your vacation very high stress with their sales team.

I stayed here in november and i couldnt ask for anything more. the hotel is beutiful. you can eat by the pool by the lake or in the restrant jazmin.The spa was the most magnifacent spa iv ever been to. the exterior is a beutiful mayan pyramid. grea for photos. There weren't any kids just quite comfort. the beach is private and very beutiful. we were married on the beach there and we loved it.Everybody there is so accomodating. This place is very affordable we booked it on expedia.

This is such a beautiful hotel with a very attentive staff. I felt so comfortable and taken care of. I would recommend this hotel if you want to get away from busy Cancun or even some parts of Playa. Not far from 5th. Easy access to all attractions

With the exception of the beds, our room was the best I've ever been in. The hotel is quiet to the extreme, perfect for relaxation. Staff were nice BUT DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING!!! One day we were told one thing, the next another, and found out to be something completely different. There was not one manager on site, which to me explained why the lack of knowledge and motivation to bring better service. The spa was BEAUTIFUL, RELAXING, and the people wanted to please you. They provided transportation to a private beach that was beautiful and peaceful. Would I go back? Yes but only if all i wanted to do was nothing except tan and relax.

The facilities were very well maintained and have a wonderful local ambience, with an open-air lobby complete with local birds who add to the atmosphere with an occasional fly-through. Rooms were spacious and the staff was very attentive to our every need. Plenty of balcony space came with our 3rd floor accomodations, and was one of our favorite places to hang out during morning and evening hours. The beach club was excellent in terms of the quality of beach frontage and service, and you can easily commute using a rental car or the resort shuttle service. The spa complex is very well designed and has a very nice restaurant on the 3rd floor. The pool area at the hotel was a nice place for casual dining and has a swim-up bar for those who prefer a most relaxing setting for a drink with friends and family. All-in-all, this was a top notch resort, and is tucked away in a wonderful location in the Playacar area.

The hotel was beautiful and great! We loved the cleanliness of our room, and the staff. The hot tub in the room was great! We also loved the jacuzzi outside, and the pool. We never used the spa, but it looked wonderful. The only complaint we have is that the water heater turned off, and we were without hot water for 1 day. We had to complain about 3 times until it was finally fixed, but overall it was great. I loved the private beach, and everyone was friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at this resort. It was quiet and serene. The one thing we wished might have been different was more choices on the menu. There was really only one grill at which to eat however there was no lack of restaurants outside of our resort.

I was warned by other travel sites that the rooms were not the quietest but I tried it anyway. The hotel itself is quite nice but it was overshadowed by the noisy rooms. On the final night of my stay the hotel hosted a wedding and reception that went on until sunrise. It was quite impossible to sleep. One could hear the conversations outside as if they were in the room besides you. The walls and floors seemed to amplify every sound. I am a little hard of hearing but every voice came through clear as a bell whether it from the room next door or the conversations in the hall. I would be hard put to recommend this hotel despite a pleasant staff and attractive accomodations. Received a nice deal from Expedia but the accomodations are not worth anywhere near the quoted "book rate"
