We just came back from our one week trip from 1/18/10 - 1/25/10. This was our second time at the Fiesta Americana in Puerto Vallarta and we couldn't wait to go back. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, the views are spectacular, and the pool area and the beach area are great. Lots of palapa trees on the beach with comfortable lounge chairs and the area is roped off from vendors. We stayed on the 9th floor and would highly recommend that! The room is nicer with higher ceilings, nicer bathroom with a wonderful tiled shower stall with the best water pressure! T The room was always spotless and comfortable with a lot of storage room. On the 9th floor you have a private lobby area where you can have a free continental breakfast, and wine and snacks are served in the afternoon. Puerto Vallarta has so many gourmet restaurants with spectacular views of the ocean and the sunset, that we never do all inclusive there! We also had a massage while we were there and it was wonderful! The staff at the hotel are very friendly and accomodating, the food and service was great! Our only suggestion would be to have some type of evening entertainment. We felt very comfortable and safe, and we look forward to our next trip there hopefully next January or February. The beach area is great (lots of palms and hutch style tables) surrounded by the mountains. The restaurants are very good; the bar's a little quiet but the staff is very helpful. Balcony with every room guarantees a wonderful view.

It was our first vacation in Mexico and at that period (the week before Christmas) And it was simply a great time at Fiesta American in Puerto-Vallarta (PV). Situration: The hotel is conveniently situated - halfway between the airport and downtown PV. The Marina is even closer. Hotel arrival and room: Check-in was easy and quick. We were able to change of room to move from 4th to 8th floor. All rooms have a view on Pacific Ocean and from the balcony, almost 180° view. We are a family of 4 (2 children of 6 and 9) and got a 2-twin-beds room. Bedding is really good, room was pretty clean and well furnished. We didn't spend too much in the room but it was really comfortable. Hotel service and staff: Our room maid was always around on our floor and did good job. Hotel staff was available in the lobby and anywhere to help you. During the day, animation near the swimming pool for kids and other. A couple of times, we had breakfast and dinner at hotel restaurant (near the pool): really good, and finally not more expensive that PV Downtown restaurants. Car rental: We used mostly the taxi during our week but rented a car for 3 days at the airport. Tip: at the airport, go through all the different car companies to get the better deal. Significant differences. Got an economic car (small, manual) for 100$ for 3 days (insurance included)! Neigborhood: beach is nice but not great.

Stayed on the top (club) floor - enjoyed view of ocean and sunsets from room . Also enjoyed the free breakfasts and snacks/drinks in evening. Room and service were top notch. Restaurant food and service was great. Easy and inexpensive to catch bus near hotel to go into town. Would love to go back again!

All aspects of the hotel, room, and services were very good. We had a room on the 9th floor which included continental breakfast and an afternoon snack which were all very good. The only complaint we had, was we did not care for the food at the restaurants in the hotel. But with abundance of excellent restaurants in Puerto Vallarta this was not that much of a problem. The hotel staff was friendly, courteous and helpful and helped make our stay very enjoyable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fiesta Americana. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The hotel food was surprisingly good, and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the pool and beach area the best. What a place to relax and unwind. We definitely will stay here again next year.

Rhythms of the Night.

Very nice hotel, grounds, room. Easy to catch buses to downtown areas. Enjoyed the pool area every day. Do wish tyhey had microwave to reheat coffee, etc. Also miss not having ice available.

I thought the staff was excellent and the room and beach was one of the best I have been to in Puerto Vallarta.

This was our first time to Puerto Vallarta and for sure it will not be the last. We had a great time. This hotel is fantastic, it's beautiful, elegant, comfortable, etc. Concierge service is the best I have seen anywhere (and I've stayed at a lot of hotels). They go above and beyond they're duties to help you out. Anything you want/need just ask them. If you do stay in this hotel, try to get a room with a view of the beach, you won't regret it. The hotel has 3 restaurants, they are decent but a bit pricey. We found the breakfast to be the best. It also has a bar by the pool, the drinks are pretty good and reasonably priced. And the best thing, they have a waiter that brings your drink to your lawn chair. They really pamper you at this place. Can't wait for our next trip to Puerto Vallarta!!!

Very friendly staff but not terribly useful. The night we arrived our AC wasn't working correctly and it took them several hours to go up to the room and fix it. Finally got it done at 1:00 am. Dinner buffet was bland at best. Not bad, just boring. Got a great deal for the three nights but I wouldn't recommend it.

The hotel was very clean and the grounds well maintained. Very comfortable. Great place to travel with kids. The Chulavista Restaurant has good food and friendly staff. The beach is not that great, though (rather narrow and coarse sand), but the chairs under the palapas are nice.

Hotel's beach is really filthy. From 8th floor, we could saw that strip of water parallel to coast (about .5 a mile or so) is dark brown color. Beyond that the water is blue. This is not hotel's fault. About two blocks north of the hotel, a river runs into ocean. The river brings all the mud and dirt from the mountains. Hence the beach at this hotel is best avoided. Other than that, this is a fine hotel.

My husband and I stayed at Fiesta Americana in Puerto Vallarta for the first time in July. The staff really went out of their way to make us feel special. We had many questions about the customs in Mexico and they were very happy to take the extra time to answer our questions. The food was excellent and the view from our room was beautiful. Can't wait to go back next year!!

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Our hotel room was super clean with furniture that appeared to be new. The beach and pool were nice as well with plenty of lounge chairs and tiki huts if you need some shade. There is no extra fee for the tiki huts and no reservation required. The hotel had a decent gift shop for snacks etc. It was located near downtown Puerto Vallarta, we walked to downtown and it took us about 20 minutes. The drive, taxi cab ride, or bus would be about 5 minutes. My only complaint would be that the more expensive Mexican specialty restaurant had mediocre food which was over priced. Otherwise the drinks were awesome at the bar and beach as was the lunch menus at the beach and restaurants.
