This is a lovely property on a beautiful stretch of beach. It is Immaculately maintained and staffed by friendly, well-trained staff, as one would expect from a hotel operated by the Mandarin Oriental group. It has five dining facilities, one of which - the Seahorse Grille - is a top-rated restaurant well deserving of the praise. I particularly liked the Wine Buffet. It's a November special at the hotel, with 14 or so very nice wine choices and descriptions to help you have your own tasting during dinner. I can't wait to return.

The hotel and the grounds were exquisite...and the people of Bermuda are the friendliest and most cordial I have met in the Caribbean... My only dissapointment was that the rooms were not ready on time, and the wheelchair I had requested was not available. Bermuda overall is lovely, but pricey.

Try eating in town..hotel prices are expensive even for snacks..and buying the bus passes since you cannot drive...and mopeds are not a good choice for everyone

The Hotel's restaurants are very expensive and the prices are up from other places in town. If your going to eat at the hotel room service is the cheapest.

Traveler's tip:

Go into town it's a lot cheaper and nicer then the resorts restaurants. Use the bus dont waist the extra money on a taxi.

The newly renovated premiere rooms are well done. Even many garden view rooms are really ocean view, they just overlook the water and open green/garden space as well.

Traveler's tip:

Definitely try the rum bar - a fantastic selection from all over the world. Also, the beach restaurant is right on the beach and a great atmosphere for either lunch or dinner. Pricey for more of a casual atmosphere, but worth it due to the food quality and location.

Elbow Beach is awesome

The beach is great... a half-mile stretch of soft pink sand that does not get hot even on hot days with lots of sun. Beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas are free to guests. All of the restaurants are expensive (true for all of Bermuda), but the relatively low airfare to Bermuda offsets the cost. The hotel grounds are huge and hilly (again, true for all of Bermuda), so pushing a stroller would be a chore. Elbow Beach is centrally-located, so it is fairly easy to get anywhere on the island. Taxi to Hamilton is about 10 bucks (plus tip), and about 25-30 bucks to Dockyards or St. George. Like I said, everything is expensive in Bermuda. The prices help to keep out of the riff-raff such as packs of teenagers looking to party.

We found taxis to the best transportation option. We tried a 2-day bus pass, but we lost so much time waiting for buses. They are crowded, and when they get full, then you are out of luck. You will end up in a taxi anyway with your useless bus pass in your pocket. The ferries are nice (and inexpensive, too.) They get crowded, so make sure you line up to get a good seat on the top deck. Great views.

This is a very nice hotel but you pay for it. I was in Bermuda 41 years ago and told myself if I ever returned, I would stay here. I'm satisfied. But Bermuda is much more crowded now. It's still beuatiful though. The beach here is the best in the country.

Traveler's tip:

If you'd rather not risk the scooters, the bus and ferry system is pretty good.

Had a great experience in dealing with this hotel. Staff was very accomodating. Food was good, but portions are smaller than was expected, and a bit pricey. The room couldn't have been any better, newly rennovated, and they put us in the suites off of the main building, suggest you request them, they are newer than the hotel itself. Scenery is amazing all over the Island! Rent scooters to tour the Island, well worth it. Plenty to see and do around the Island, tours, ferries, museums, zoo, golf, water activites, cave exploration, shopping. Beaches are beautiful. Will definitely go back to Elbow Beach. It was worth every penny!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very well maintained, rooms clean, the exterior grounds are very beautiful. Relaxing beach and pool. I would reccomend to anyone wishing a relaxing and peaceful get away, to stay here. All the restuarants served good food.

Traveler's tip:

My only downfall with Bermuda is, everything is very expensive. I know this is due to everything being shipped in. The average two person meal with soda was 50 - 60$$ If you eat at a top notch restaurant then plan on spending near $100.00 and more if you have drinks.

The Hotel is well-kept & impressive, about a 25 min. ride from the airport(costs USD25-30 by taxi-cab). The rooms are large, spacious and comfortable for a family with 2 kids. The in-room service is efficient and friendly. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are well maintained. The private beach is kept clean. High-speed internet service available in-room for USD 20/day is quite convenient for a working-vacation. Will definitely go back.

Transport is expensive, day pass is a good idea. Any attraction is about 15-25 each way USD by taxi-cab.

This hotel was superb, a blend of colonial elegance and island friendliness. The food was amazing! Went there with 17 family members ranging in age from 4 to 64 and everyone had a blast. The New Year's Eve Party with a very talented and fun DJ provided great music and lively dancing to compliment the gourmet buffet. It was expensive but couldn't have been better.

Our stay at Elbow Beach was more than I expected. The service we were extended, the room we stayed in, and the grounds around us were well above our expectations. The rooms are decked out with high tech gear, they even had hookups for your IPOD. It was great. The restaurants on the grounds were good, bit pricey but convenient. The night club on the grounds was small but nice. The beach was beautiful and the lush grounds were wonderful to look at. Overall, it was an amazing stay.

Traveler's tip:

Make sure you request a renovated room.
