We recently went on our honeymoon and loved every minute of it. The Divi was beautiful. The beach was great. There was plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The staff was very attentive to our needs from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. They were very helpful with suggestions on where to eat away from the resort. Bartenders and waitstaff refilled drinks and cleared away plates and glasses as soon as you were finished and it was all done with a smile.
Traveler's tip:
If you are a steak lover then you must go to El Gauchos. It was recommended by "Filo" the head bellman from the Divi. It was great. I have never seen a steak that was as big as my head before. It was the juiciest steak I ever had. It is pricey so be prepared. They also have a couple of guys with guitars that will come play at your table. They were very good.

The room, service and grounds were like heaven on Earth. Everyone, staff and other guests were very friendly and helpful. We are already booking a return trip.
Traveler's tip:
The bus system worked very well with easy access and stops when we needed them for a tenth of a taxi.

smoking areas confine the non-smoker to inside when the reason everyone goes to is to enjoy the outside please so not punish the non-smoker we went to the casino and had to endure the same problem even though we tried position ourslves to avoid the situation but to no avail some smokestack would come puffing right up to our little space we finally had to leave
Traveler's tip:
eat at the resort the food is good and the options aren't that great to bother with especially if you are going for the sand and the sea they are great

This isn't a luxury hotel. However, service was good, the room was clean, and we never went hungry or got too thirsty. The beach here is out of this world. And the hotel is right on the beach. Out your door, down the stairs, and there you are, on some of the best beachfront I've ever been on. The buffet restaurant was OK, the restaurants at the sister resort, the Tamarijn, were good, and the bartenders pour a great drink. There is a lot to do if you get tired of lying around on the beach!

My husband and I have been to Aruba twice before and when we went back this time, all we wanted to do was just sit back and relax !! The hotel is older but clean and the beach was absolutely beautiful !! Sometimes you hear mixed reviews of places and worry but this was a good trip for us. We weren't looking for anything too fancy and our oceanview room was a little far back...but you can leave your room and sit right by it any time you want !! The food is good but make your reservations early...the Red Parrot was fantastic !! We loved everything there. This hotel doesn't offer alot of day time activities if you are looking for that. They had night shows by the pool and that was nice. The beach at the sister hotel Tamryn is very rocky so the Divi is much better. They provide golf cart "shuttles" to most of the divi hotels but they drive crazy and on the side walks freqently so just be careful to hold on !! Most of the staff are very laid back with a few that were great. All in all, we had a great time !!
Traveler's tip:
If you bring some cash, even though it's all inclusive, they really appreciate it. We tipped those who we thought were extra helpful. And if you tip your housekeeper, you get extra towels :)

We went for our anniversary. Divi has a beautiful beach. The restaurants were great and the buffet a pleasant surprise. We rented a jeep and went exploring. The national park has 2 interesting caves but the roads to them are not marked but you can find them pretty easily. The maps have no street names which isn't a problem because there are no street signs. Get a snorkel from the hotel before you go to Baby beach because the fish will swim right up to you. It was a great vacation and I can't wait to go back.

The hotel is older so it's no plush by any means. However, for us, we are mostly on the beach or outside anyway. It is clean though. The people there are very hospitable and friendly. THe beach is beautiful. It is not very crowded either so it's great if you just want to relax. THis was our 2nd time at the Divi. The 1st was for our honeymoon and this 2nd time was to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The cost is very reasonable as well.

Madame Jannette's was top knotch. I'll dream about the food and the atmosphere!!

We love the Divi and continue to go back year after year. The beach is wonderful. The staff remembers us from year to year and makes us feel welcome. There may be newer hotels and somewhat better restaurants but the overall experience never disappoints and keeps us coming back. For a laid-back, relaxing vacation this is a must.
Traveler's tip:
Get a map and rent a jeep. Find the attractions on your own. There really is no "getting lost" in this island.

The Divi Aruba Beach Resort is the absolute best hotel to stay in when traveling to Aruba. I had been to the Divi in the past and knew I would be satisfied with it again. Our room was clean and comfortable and if we needed somethng all we had to do was ask, course you are on island time so be patient. The food at the restaurants is very good so there's really no reason to venture off the property for dining. Late night entertainment is alot of fun too. The Divi is located on the best part of the beach-no rocks and not many children, I like kids but not on vacation please! The Divi is a great value and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else on the island. Just fabulous!

Totally impressed literally from the minute we arrived--the friendly staff was helpful and welcoming. Rooms were well-kept, a little on the older side, but certainly in good condition. We had an awesome room right on the beach--unfortunately, had to move up to the third floor when Hurricane Felix came through, but the moves were handled very expediently. This was our first all-inclusive experience, so I wasn't sure what to expect for the food and drink, but I have to say it was top-notch all around. Don't miss the Red Parrot--but make your reservations early. Enjoyed snorkeling, a bike trip into town, and kayaking, again the equipment was all included. I would definitely recommend it.

We booked the Divi as a last-minute trip to Aruba and had a fabulous time! I highly recommend going to Aruba and staying here-the all inclusive plan really lets you relax and not worry about where to eat, carrying around money, etc. Staff at the hotel are very friendly, helpful, and speak fluent English. We encountered warm and friendly attitudes from everyone we dealt with in Aruba-from the cab drivers to random people we asked for directions while on our own "tour." The food at the buffet for breakfast and lunch was good and I could always find something to eat. The food and service at the Red Parrott was great. You can also use the facilities and restaurants next door at the Tam. Paparrazi was good but had poor service. My boyfriend got food posioning from the shrimp at the Palm Grill-horrible vomiting and nausea (bring your own medicine). I ate chicken and beef at the Palm Grill and was fine-watch out! The beach was beautiful and we had no trouble getting a palapa by 8:00 AM. The grounds are well maintained and clean. You will see many lizards and iguanas on the grounds-they like your food! The room was OK and in need of a make-over. The bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab and the bathtubs had a strange design, but everything was very clean and the A/C worked well. Bring double the sunscreen you think you will use becasue the sun is very hot and you will go through it fast-you do not want to pay $18 a bottle from the gift store!
Traveler's tip:
I highly recommend renting a Jeep Wrangler for a day and doing your own tour of the island. You can basically go off-roading anywhere on the north side of the island and you will discover many beautiful coves. You must go out to the Natural Pool-it was rather daunting getting there, but worth every rut and boulder we drove over in the "road." This was by far the highlight of our trip!

In short: good food, good service, decent room, great beach! There were great live bands and entertainment going on pretty much every night. If you try to use the concierge to book anything not offered by Depalm, you're out of luck (I think they have a monopoly on the Divi), and will have to use your room phone to book it. The staff were always friendly and courteous. We went in the off season and it was not at all crowded -- we always got a couple of beach chairs under a shade when we needed them. We went here on our honeymoon and were given a "free romantic sunset dinner on the beach." It was not that romatic, nor was it on the beach. There were about 30 couples and six tables on the beach, so we ended up sitting near the bar eating mediocre set-menu food. When we returned to the hotel, we raided the buffet and had much better food.

Hotel location was excellent. All Aruba beaches are public, but the way this hotel is situated the beach is pretty much exclusively used by guests. Loved the fact they posted 'Tiki-Bars' every 50 yards or so - soi I didn't have to go far for refreshment. Hotel restaurants are so-so, middling at best. Buffet dinners should be viewed as a last resort option. Staff was very helpful and extremely courteous. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and go back again.
Traveler's tip:
Make reservations at the hotel restaurants far in advance. They fill up fast.

This was mine and my wife's honeymoon and first time on an all-inclusive trip. There were honeymooners, returning couples and families there. We loved every minute of our trip. Every one was very helpful, especially the ladies at the concierge desk. The access to snorkling stuff and the non-motorized sport stuff was very easy to get. When in doubt, ask at the front! The grounds were gorgeous and well kept. There are plenty of spots, at two pools, in the garden area in between them, or at the beach to set up for the day! The 2 for one with it's sister resort right next door was the icing on a very sweet cake! Golf carts to transport you back and forth make for the lazy/relaxing time!!
Traveler's tip:
Bring a handfull of 1's and 5's for small tips, although tips included this goes a long way! Don't wait for a bartender to notice you, people hang out at the bar a lot, it is not impolite to get his attention with a simple 'excuse me, can I get a...'. If you would like something, ask someone, they were pretty accomodating. I broke our bottle of chapagne in our room (late at night) and they had someone there to clean it up very quickly.

Divi Aruba was a wonderful choice for our family. From the moment we stepped foot on the property we were treated like royalty. The staff did all in their power to make our stay a memorable experience- from check in to golf cart rides to other places to arranging rides downtown to Sunday Mass for our family. Having access to their neighbor property and their amenities was an added bonus. The support staff for day trips was great. The buffet restaurant available for walk in was never a disappointment in quality of food and service. The restaurant at Divi Aruba that required reservations, "The Red Parrot", was one of the best dining experiences I have had. Food and service were great. The only criticism I have is with the restaurants that required reservations at the sister property, "Tamarijn". The food was wonderful at all 3 restaurants but the service could have been better. The staff did not seem to care! Barring that one criticism, our experience was fantastic. When we decide to go back to Aruba, Divi Aruba will be our choice!
Traveler's tip:
Staying at the Divi was certainly the best choice. The location was convenient to anything you wanted to do on Aruba- much in walking distance, some just a short ride away!

- Hotel needs updating. - Wait staff are great! Food was tasty. - Filo at front of hotel very friendly and helpful. - DePalm Tour Lobby desk people could be more pleasant and friendlier, feel like you are interrupting them from their personal phone calls.

The service was great, hotel staff was very friendly, we brought our two children and they had a great time, out of all are meals we preferred the buffet the best. We would definetly stay at the Divi again. NO problems here well worth the money.
Traveler's tip:
WE did not see much nightlife other then what was at our resort. There was no reason to leave and go outside the resort, they provided entertainment each and every night.

Very clean, well kept and organized. The staff is wonderful and more than happy to help you.Tips are greatly appreciated. The food was pretty good, and there was so much of it that you are deffinately not be left hungry. The stories about flies on the food are false and do not believe them.Only when you are sitting outside and eating do you notice bugs and birds flying. After all, this is a tropycal island. The beach is beautiful,no words can describe it and fully capture it's beauty. All in all, great destination!
Traveler's tip:
Downtown Aruba is beautiful, but it's too hot to walk around. You are better of staying by the pool or the beach. All the staff was great, and went out of their way to serve you, except the staff at the gift shops, terrible!Go on a jet-ski,it's expensive but a lot of fun. There is not a lot of kids on this resort,so if you want a family vacation with kids entertainment,go to the Divi's sister resort!
