WOW is all I can say. Great location nice beach although the waves were pretty big so not really a swimming beach. If you want to snorkel stay away from the trips to the Arch they are crowded and short for the money. Take a taxi to Santa Maria Bay for a great public beach with great snorkeling. The beach front shopping was great. The actual resort was awesome, food was great and the staff very friendly and accommodating. I would go back in a heart beat. We had two young kids 7 and 9 and they enjoyed every minute of the stay. Highly recommended.

Very quiet...not overcrowded. Beach was nice, but the waves are rough. The food was great. Will go back.

Hotel location was excellent. Beautifully maintained grounds and pools. Service was lacking, activities and entertainment were lacking as well. Food was good but repetitive. I am not sure that I would go this resort cause I was not happy with the service and it put a damper on the entire vacation.

Hotel was nice...however, when I stepped on a piece of glass in my room and cut my foot, the management did nothing. It's 15 min from Cabo San Lucas, so be prepared for taxi service. The unlimited drinks were nice, but the food selection was limited.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza. The staff was amazingly accommodating and we wanted for nothing. We even extended our stay to enjoy more sun!

Traveler's tip:

We were accosted at the airport by purported employees of a taxi service but they tried to get us to buy a timeshare. TIP: Go straight to the colored minivans that say Taxi - It's about $20US to get to the crowne plaza from the airport.

For the price and the quality, our stay was incredible. Very reasonable for a family of four. The folks at the service desk went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our waiter Joel carried our plates to our table from the buffet lines! Unbelievable service! The food was very fresh and good. First time none of us had stomach upset. I was impressed that the staff wore facial masks when serving (good thing because the swine flu broke out a week after we returned). The nightly entertainment could be better. We have been on a ton of cruises and many all inclusives and this was one of the better all around vacations.

We stayed here in late June on our honeymoon. It was wonderful. The staff is extremely friendly and wait on you hand and foot. The concierge was very helpful with planning a day trip to Cabo San Lucas. The rooms were well cleaned every day. The view is fantastic. Very relaxing.

Overall our stay was very satisfying. Service, food, cleanliness and appearance were all first rate. Our only real complaint was the bed. It was just a thin mattress on a plywood riser. It was uncomfortably hard. Everything else was as advertised.

I enjoyed the food and the service. The minus was there was a lot of children. I went with my boyfriend and we seemed be in the minorities of couples. A lot of friendly hotel stayers with families. I would have enjoyed this more if I had small children. All in all it was a good experience. I love the fact the Sea of Cortez was right in front of the hotel and was able to see some Gray whales from the beach.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza Grand Faro based on their website and a friend's recommendation - it was even better than I expected. Clean throughout, very comfortable beds, relaxing, good food available all day. I'd like to stay there again.

They advertise 5-6 restaurants but actually only had 2 open at any one time. International bar is a joke. I asked for Lite beer and they didn't have any. They had only 2 beers and both were Mexican. No Cognac but a couple of cheap Brandies. Lousy Tequila drinks in fact most of their booze was low quality and very poor selections. Outside of that, the place was great! Very clean inside and out. Beaches were not for swimming but were clean and with the cool sand, easy to walk on. Partial view of ocean means you go on your balcony and look sideways and through the Palm trees. Forget about changing your room as they charge for any changes.

Traveler's tip:

Transportation to towns was expensive unless you took the local buses. Just be sure you get on the right bus.

Our room was not facing the pool but on the back side facing the next hotel. Try to get a better room when you check in. My husband loved the saltwater pool but I thought it was cold. The hot tub was murky looking (as there were many people using it) and the pools were not too warm. This didn't bother us too much as we did not use them much. I would have to say the best thing about this hotel is the breakfast room. It was very nice and down by the beach. The variety was good for breakfast and lunch. Lots of fruits, juices, omlets, and many other choices. The snack bar was very convenient and the drinks were plentiful. The dinners were pretty good, especially the Mexican night which is located in a courtyard area. The service was good. Most of the staff were eager to serve and were very friendly and nice, especially when we would try to talk to them in Spanish. There was good entertainment. We were seated with some hilarious people who we hung out with later. We booked a trip to Todos Santos and the van never came, however when we went to the desk and told them, they quickly made arrangements over the phone and another van came right away. Overall, a good trip for first time travellers to Mexico.

Traveler's tip:

Walk up to San Jose del Cabo. Our taxi drove us through town on the way to the airport but I wished we would have walked around. Take the bus to Cabo San Lucas and go to the Shrimp Factory and the marina. There is shopping around the marina. The tour to Todos Santos was good, too.

We had a great time and I would easily recommend this place to others. Overall, it was more of a couples/family type environment as the night life was somewhat limited, but it worked for my boyfriend and I (we're both age 24). The all inclusive aspect was awesome(any bottled water, food, alcohol, room service,..) and the hotel was clean with beautiful views everywhere. As an fyi, the pools are not heated (but nice), the jacuzzi is more like a kiddie pool, and you may want to bring some warmer clothes for night as pretty much everything is outdoors (we traveled in Feb).

Traveler's tip:

Go ATV-ing if you're looking for some fun during the day. We got to see a lot of different places on the 2.5 hour venture
