The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The staff was great and the view from the deluxe beach front room was awesome (a bit far from main hotel though). Food/drinks were a little expensive $7 for a coke and bottle of water) but over all I enjoyed my hotel stay. Restaurant was great!

This hotel is very professionally run, that's for sure. Everywhere we looked we noticed the staff extremely dedicated at perfecting their individual jobs, whether cleaning, cooking, or reception. This is the hotel for those that want to relax and have a quiet, hassle-free vacation, and don't want to be bothered by anything. The view from our room on the fourth floor was so amazing and relaxing, and was one of the highlights of our trip. The food and drinks at the restaurants, especially the breakfast buffett, was awesome. We did check out some other resorts in the vicinity and found that ours had the best food, relaxed ambiance, service, and pretty beach. We have absolutely no complaints except that we found ourselves constantly commuting by bus to El Centro to get decently priced Internet access and decently priced good food. The price of Internet access in our room was a bit frustrating, about $15 per day.

We were very happy with our choice of hotel...our goal was relaxation and we were very successful! Ocean view was beautiful and the pools were perfect. The location is excellent and the hotel was very clean. Only 2 complaints... 1.) Mattress was not very comfortable 2.) We had to say no to multiple requests to take tours for the option to buy timeshares...but in defense of the hotel, these salespeople seemed to be all over Cancun! Overall, this was a great hotel and we really enjoyed ourselves...go for it!

The staff were very helpfull, friendly and cooperative..the room was nice..service very good..my only complain was a little bit of noise at nite...sounds like movement of furniture.. but overall i was satisfied

We absolutely loved everything about this resort. The grounds were beautiful and the hotel staff was friendly, fast and efficient. The resort is not far from all of the major clubs and restaurants and there is a bus stop located in front of the property! The buffet breakfast is worth waking up for! The only hiccup in the trip was getting our rooms. We arrived about an hour before check-in and need two rooms. We had to wait about 2.5-3 hours to get both rooms.

The property was very nice as seen in the pictures, but the management went way overboard in policing the rules. We were asked EVERYWHERE we went what room we were in & how many people. Every time you turned around you were breaking a rule - not allowed at the pool or beach after 10 or 11pm, no food or drink in the room, etc, etc. I went with 3 of my girlfriends (all of us over 40 yrs old) & I felt like I was back in high school constantly having to answer for my actions all the time. It was very stressful. In addition, there were screaming kids at BOTH pool areas all the time. If they are not going to designate one of the pools as all adult, they should advertise as a family resort. I have kids of my own, but this was our "girl trip" away from the kids.

We recently held a small family reunion at Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand. We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and generally responsive to any issues we raised. For example, they would open the small coffee shop on-site at ungodly hours, just to serve us a coffee, soda, or ice cream. The swimming pool and stretch of the beach for the hotel was fabulous, never crowded or noisy. It was the ultimate relaxing vacation. The concierge was extremely helpful in arranging private tours, locating restaurants, providing local advice,... The amenities were a great value for the price we paid. We did miss having coffee/tea in the rooms (coffee/tea was apparently not included in the price), and they were very strict about not letting one bring back any leftover food from restaurants to the hotel rooms, which can be a tad inconvenient. Internet was available in the rooms for about 20 pesos. The location was very convenient, a short walk to a stretch of nice restaurants/eatery and souvenir shopping. Overall, a great value. We would go back in a heartbeat!

We stayed here for 7 nights, and we absolutely loved it...very nice and helpful staff, great food and beautiful beach. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay away from home. We will definitely come back and stay at Cancun Caribe. The only downside is that outside food isn't permitted, but their small cafe has good prices.

We were given a room on the ground floor in one of the annex towers. Although it was technically and ocean view room, there were 2 people almost directly outside the sliding door smoking ttes. We requested to be moved and the hotel accomodated us with an upper floor. The 2nd day our room was not cleaned at all. We just asked for fresh towels and left it at that. We also noticed that the glass shower door was somewhat loose on its hinges. We informed maintenance and they came right away to repair the door. The 3rd day when we returned at 6:30pm the glass shower door had fallen and shattered all over the bathroom, shower and into the foyer. We were relocated quickly, to our 3rd room. The 5th and last day, we were awakened at 7am by a fire alarm, and indeed there appeared to be a contained fire in a room 2 floors below. When we were allowed back into the room we quickly got our things together to leave for a road trip. For the most part, the hotel is beautiful,the staff fantastic, the rooms were nice and the views are spectacular, however, on service the hotel does miss the mark overall. I was asked at check-out how was my stay and I had prepared an itemized list of mishaps. I received only a promise to have my concerns directed to management later. I learned that this hotel was once a Hyatt Hotel. And ironically, I worked at a Hyatt hotel in Baltimore as staff and later management for 9 years. I have yet to be contacted by the Hotel

the hotel is beautiful, the pool and it was easy to just walk down to the beach. Maintenance and service was great. Everyone was very nice. Just only thing i didn't really like was the bed, it was hard and as well as the pillows to. Other then that we had a great time.

It is a nice hotel. It has a wonderful swimming pools and a private and clean beach. The view from the balcony is wonderful. The bed is okay. But the room is showing its age and needs up dating: 1. The base of a table is rusted and that stained the marble floor. 2. The bathtub is clogged and the show head switch did not work. Called the housekeeping and the switch was fixed. The bathtub still clogged most of the time (it seemed to be depending on the time of the day).

Very easy access to beach and pools from royal towers, no long walks in lobbies and elevators. Friendly staff, good breakfast, excellent drinks, towels available, kid friendly. Located near all places. Rooms with beautiful view.

The pictures on expedia looked awesome, but when we got there, the pictures did not do it justice. It was amazingly beautiful! Everytime we walked through the front door, there was a staff member there to open the door and always greeting everyone with a smile. The staff was extrememly friendly. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel food was pricey, but outstanding. GREAT location! There was a bus stop right in front of the hotel & you can get a ride for only 75 cents a person. Definately take advantage of the bus! There are restaurants and shopping malls in both directions from the hotel that are within walking distance. Lorenzillo's is a nice romantic dinner place. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't have much enertainment to offer and the bar was empty all week. If they had some live music or happy hour, it would be great because the bar is very nice and relaxing! Market 28 has souvienor shops and a Wal-Mart. We went to Wal-Mart and got alcohol, cokes, and snacks to have in our room to save money. The pools at the hotel were so nice and there weren't alot of kids around.. pretty quiet around the pools and beach areas. There is security watching the beach area to make sure no one from other hotels are on the private beach so you feel very safe. None of the resturants get hoppin' til 8 PM or later. We went to eat at 6 one night and were the only ones there! Good food, good fun, can't wait to go back!

We stayed a cancun caribe from June 26 to July 3 2009. We were very satified with our whole trip. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. The pool and the bartendars were our favorite with the greatest service when sitting by the pool. Always had a drink by our side. Cant wait to go back

The hotel personnel was very friendly and we got a free room upgrade. The hotel has a beautiful beach access and close to Hotel Zone downtown (10 min walk). The food was delicious too! Highly recommend.

Though Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand was a gorgeous hotel with amazing amenities, private beaches and great location, the hotel had a faulty security system. If your entire party is not staying at that hotel, your guests may not even entire your hotel room. Understandably the hotel is trying to protect itself during Spring Break, but having that stringent of a policy that a heavy fine is inflicted on a hotel guest if they have a guest in the room is ridiculous. Security will also hound you if you bring a guest back to their hotel. What does that say about hosting events such as weddings at Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand? It means that if your wedding guests are not explicit guests of the hotel, then they may not even spend time in a hotel room with another one of your wedding guests. Its aggravating and obnoxious and the policy makes hotel guests feel common. If you are only going to Cancun with your entire party staying in one hotel and no one in your party is planning on bringing anyone back to the room, then I would recommend Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand. If not, find somewhere else.

The hotel was very nice. We took the family and we all loved it. It was near many attractions and the bus stop was convenient.

We chose to stay in thr Royal Tower and have the continental breakfast buffet every morning. The view from our room was outstanding!! Everything was very, very cleab. The staff was always smiling and very helpful. The infinity pool was fantastic! The beach was gorgeous. Really looking forward to going back sometime.

Just got back a couple of weeks from Cancun and definitely can't wait to go back. This hotel has great beach access with an area that almost seems private due to the limited access of other tourists in the hotel zone. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The hotel was very clean, great pools, jacuzzi, and very nice modern rooms with a great big shower! Nightlife from the hotel is just a twenty minute walk away, but if you prefer the bus which you can access right outside of the hotel it's about three minutes away. The only draw back of this hotel is their no outside food policy.

We had a pleasant stay here. Our Ocean Front room was close to the beach and the pool. Service was good. There was only one strange thing. We got to the breakfast buffet late. We were seated. The buffet still had lots of food on it, and people were eating. When we got up to eat, the host told us it was now closed, and we would have to go over to the restaurant in front of the pools. So we went there. The restaurant was good, and the service was great, and a better view, but it seemed odd they would seat us and then ask us to leave. I would go back. It was a nice place. Good location. Great beach.

The hotel was really nice with a secluded beach as other people have stated. Be careful with the hotel sales people trying to sale the Royal Holiday memberships since they will buy you free breakfast at the hotel restaurant and offeer you cheap tickets and then will try to sell you a membership that they will not allow you to get out of. Too sad, because the hotel itself is very nice but those sales people will ruin your stay here.
