We stayed at the hotel in early November, and had a wonderful time. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. One incident stands out in my mind - we asked the general manager one night about the history of the main house. When we got back to our room after dinner, a copy of a book detailing the history was on our bed, compliments of the house. Very classy! The food was excellent, though the breakfasts were pretty much the same all four days we were there. It's easy to get around the island from this resort, and the staff provides two tokens per person per day to use the bus and ferry system. This is not an inexpensive place to visit, but the scenery and service make this place great for anniversaries or just a luxurious getaway.

An excellent resort. Individual cottages that provide privacy and great views of the ocean. Freindly staff compliment the great restaurant food and very English afternoon tea - an opportunity to meet other guests. We used local transport, bus and ferry and with the use of the token system travelling to places of interest was enjoyable and fun, with locals always keen to point out various attractions. My wife was very impressed with the Spa facilities

Traveler's tip:

If you want to use the full restaurant facilities including beach side dining, then you need to stay between April and October

The Cambridge Beaches is a beautifully sited hotel in the attractive island of Bermuda. It is somewhat remote from many of the livelier island locations which makes for a relaxing environment. Our room had excellent views (all rooms face the sea)and was comfortable and well kitted out. Food at the hotel was generally good, and plentiful. The traditional British afternoon tea is an excellent feature which many of the guests enjoy. The hotel's main restaurant has a great reputation. Our experience was mixed with one Ok meal and one stunningly good one. We did enjoy both lunches and dinner at Breezes, the hotel's beach resturant where the food was consistently good and the service attentive and relaxed as one would expect. We did not use the Spa facility or the interior pool during our visit, as the beach and sea were too inviting for our late season visit. We had a couple of arranged events in the Port O Call bar which were interesting and fun. There always seem to be a good mix of locals and guests (many of them regular visitors) in the bar whoch makes for a lively environment. The local Rum Swizzle and Dark and Stormy cocktails are an absolute must. Overall a great break in a fine location with cheerful, attentive staff.

Maybe not for the young and hip - but perfect for the sophisticated and discerning. Beautifully placed - beautifully kept and quietly romantic.

Traveler's tip:

Just relax and luxuriate in the comfort of it all.

This was my 7th and my husband's 3rd visit to Bermuda. It was our first stay at Cambridge Beaches. This cottage colony is cozy and refined, yet has updated luxuries such as a beautiful infinity pool, spa, refurbished rooms, gorgeous grounds and beaches...on 30 acres. You can enjoy sunrise at breakfast and sunset at dinner. Our deluxe room was very spacious, with nice furnishings and a gorgeous ocean view. The staff is friendly; the food excellent. We recommend this place for any couple (young and old) who wants to spend time in a beautiful, romantic setting. We're planning on returning next year.

Cambridge Resorts is a beautiful hotel surrounded on three sides by water. The staff could not have been any friendlier. They all remembered our names after the first day. The food was wonderful and their wine list was very varied. We would stay there again anytime.

Traveler's tip:

This is not the right kind of hotel for younger people looking for a lot of nightlife. They did have a bar which usually had someone either on piano or guitar, but there wasn't a lot of nightlife and it is too far from Hamilton to drive there at night. For us it was perfect to just relax.

Our stay at the Cambridge Beaches hotel was absolutely wonderful and relaxing. Our cottage was magnificent along with a beautiful water view from our private veranda. The food was nothing short of extraordinary with outdoor seating available in all three restaurants. We took this trip to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and truly enjoyed the quiet. I would not recommend this hotel for children, it most certainly appears to be geared towards couples.

We returned to Cambridge, our Honeymoon destination, for our 12th Anniversary and had a wonderful time. Cambridge is a quiet, romantic nook tucked away in beautiful Bermuda. The atmosphere is upscale but friendly. You are pampered with beautiful surroundings, comfortable cottages and fabulous food. Even on a rainy day you can't help but relax listening to the ocean water on your private patio. You could stay secluded in this paradise or mingle with the other guests or venture to local sights. It was a fabulous vacation.

Suite were great with view over the sea. Meals were good. I regret only the dress code for european who are not used to wear jackets and shoes at dinnner. It is a bit too conservative but it is like that in the whole island.

CB is the first resort where I was greeted by name the second day of my stay by wait staff. The privacy and intimacy are ideal when one is trying to "get away." The attention to detail is superb. We went for my husband's 60th and by the first night at dinner the message had permeated the resort. He was surprised by a birthday dessert. The guest services manager presented him with a book on the history of CB on our third day. I can't say enough good things about CB!

People were so nice, clean and friendly and that was the staff! A better resort could not be found! Perfect in every way, and no complaints at all!

Traveler's tip:

Dockyard is a marvelous place to shop or just look around with it's mall and clock towers(one is the point of the Bermuda triangle! St. George is unique with its' town crier and marvelous old architecture.

This hotel is like a lovely pink private cottage community surrounded by the ocean. A fabulous breakfast buffet and a full English high tea was included in our rate-- we were so full we only had one other meal out each day! Members of the staff were particularly sweet, as the whole population of Bermuda seems to be (ever been greeted with a hearty "hello/how are you" from a bus load of passengers?) Only two caveats to report: room had a mild damp oder that diminished as we stayed and the resort is at one end of the island, making treks to sights at the other end over an hour long. You should realize that a cab from the airport is quite expensive (and, as you cannot rent a car, unavoidable).

Traveler's tip:

Ocean view is worth it.

Cambridge Beaches is perfect for relaxation, fine wines and excellent food. Being British we loved the colonial tilt that is projected onto a very laid back island attitude to life.
